🎃 30 DAYS OF NEO PUMPKIN B**RS — DAY 21

🎃 TOP 20 SPOTLIGHT: Kurbisleichen | Forest City Brewery

Some pumpkin b**rs are light, sweet and easygoing.

Kurbisleichen is not interested in any of that.

Forest City Brewery in Cleveland takes the style into decidedly bigger territory with this 8% Pumpkin/Yam B**r — a dark, warming fall b**r that has quietly built an impressive following of its own.

And Kurbisleichen made NEOCBN’s Top 20.

🍂 Sensory Notes:
Expect a rich malt foundation with caramelized sweetness and an earthy pumpkin character underneath. Baking spices bring the familiar cinnamon-and-autumn warmth, but the bigger body and darker malt character keep this from drinking like pumpkin-pie soda. At 8%, there’s noticeable warmth through the finish, making this much more of a slow fall-evening sipper than a crushable seasonal.

We’ve introduced a LOT of contenders by now.

And this one presents an interesting question:

How much attention have Northeast Ohio pumpkin-b**r drinkers been paying to Forest City?

Top 20? Top 10?

Could Kurbisleichen be one of the sleepers on our entire board? 👀🎃

Our rankings remain completely scrambled.
