Why did the rescued corn cob join the La Soupe kitchen? Because it was tired of getting creamed and wanted a new ‘stalk’ in life! 🌽✨

At La Soupe, we take food waste seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously.

Our incredible team works hard every single day, transforming over a million pounds of rescued food into beautiful, nourishing meals each year.

But the most important ingredient in our kitchen is JOY. We find the fun in the everyday, giving rescued food an a-maize-ing second chance—and having a good laugh while we do it.

Meet 6-year-old Josie Soltes, a young entrepreneur with a smile that could brighten any day—and our favorite little donor! 🌻

If you live in Fort Thomas, you might recognize Josie from her neighborhood zinnia stand on West Villa Place. With the help of her grandpa Dennis (the master seed-planter!), her parents, and her brother, Josie grows beautiful flowers that support local pollinators before turning them into bouquets to support La Soupe.

Over the last two seasons, Josie's pay-what-you-want stand has raised nearly $2,500 for La Soupe, helping us rescue fresh food and transform it into roughly 500 nutritious meals for families in need. 🥕🍲

Art has the power to transform communities, just like rescued food.

Join us at Millcroft Gallery on Wednesday, June 17 from 6–9 PM for the Art in Action nonprofit fundraiser, where local artists use their talents to support causes they care about. We're honored that Michael Hensley’s work will be featured in support of La Soupe.

Through this unique exhibition, participating artists have each selected nonprofits to champion, and 40% of every artwork sale goes directly to the artist’s chosen organization. That means when you purchase artwork supporting La Soupe, you’re helping us rescue surplus food, transform it into nutritious meals, and share it with neighbors facing food insecurity.

The evening is also a chance to meet participating nonprofits, connect with fellow community members, and celebrate the impact we can make together.
