A little slice of history…
We’ve got our old Johns Pizzeria Chicago sign that’s been with us for decades. It’s big, bold, and full of that vintage charm.

We’re parting ways with it and wanted to see if any local collectors, longtime fans, or vintage sign lovers might be interested. It’ll be available for pickup tomorrow night, don’t wait!

Shoot us an offer to [email protected] if you’re interested. Pickup/cash only. It’s already removed from the building so it’s ready for loading.

We’re here with a bittersweet message. John's Pizzeria would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for the incredible support you have shown us throughout the decades. We’ve been home to first dates, birthdays and countless celebrations and so appreciate the loyalty.

Regrettably, John's Pizzeria will be closed for the foreseeable future.

We understand the disappointment this may bring, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. If you have recently placed an order that has not been fulfilled, we want to assure you that we are in the process of refunding all outstanding orders. You can expect the refund to be processed as soon as possible.

As we navigate this challenging time, we remain hopeful for the future of John’s. While John's Pizzeria as is is closed for now, we are exploring options to potentially reopen and continue serving you our delicious pizzas once again. We’ll keep you in the loop here as any changes arise.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your patronage. It’s been an immense honor, and the memories we have shared with you will forever be cherished.

John’s Pizzeria Restaurant and Lounge has been a family-owned fixture on Western Avenue in Bucktown for over 65 years — but owner Larry Imbergia said he’ll be closing shop at the end of the month.

All good things come to an end…or do they?

Long story short, we lost our lease.

We’ve loved serving up Chicagoland’s best pies 🍕 since 1957 and hosting all your birthdays, graduations and celebrations over the decades.

Stop by or order by June 30. We’d love to serve you one last pizza or other Italian specialty.

We’ll also have half baked pizzas you can freeze for later or call a day in advance and we’ll have them ready and frozen the next day.

Thanks for all the memories.

(We figured this throwback photo of our first menu would be a fun, fitting bit of nostalgia to share along with this update. And no, we aren’t able to honor 1957 prices. We’d ask the same question 😉.)

Happy holidays, friends! We're off for Christmas Eve today and Christmas Day tomorrow.

We'll reopen on Saturday, December 26 from 11am to 1am for takeout and delivery.
