Dukmandu Guk
A traditional Korean New Year’s soup made with thinly sliced, chewy rice cakes (tteok) and dumplings in a rich, savory beef broth, topped with egg strips and tender beef.

Dukmandu Guk is a symbolic dish enjoyed on Seollal (Korean New Year), representing aging, renewal, and new beginnings.

✨ To celebrate MinGa’s 20th Anniversary, we are offering this special dish at its price from 20 years ago as a heartfelt thank-you to our valued customers who have supported us throughout the years.

Celebrate the New Year with tradition, warmth, and gratitude at MinGa.

We're Back and Stronger Than Ever!
Dear valued MinGa family, after the challenging weeks following Tropical Storm Chantal on July 6, we are thrilled to announce that MinGa has officially reopened its doors! Your support during this difficult time has meant everything to us.
Our Journey to Reopening
When Tropical Storm Chantal hit Chapel Hill last month, we faced significant damage to our beloved restaurant.
We've used this opportunity to refresh our space while maintaining the authentic atmosphere you've come to love. Our kitchen has been upgraded with new equipment, allowing our chefs to prepare your favorite Korean-Japanese dishes with even more precision and care.

Help Retain Employee After Chapel Hill Flood. On July 6th, flash flooding hit our restaurant MinGa in Chapel Hill. Overnight we were forced to shut down, and our hardworking team was suddenly left with no income.

We are doing everything we can to clean up and reopen as soon as possible. However, most heartbreaking of all is, we risk losing our trained, loyal employees — the core of our restaurant.

We have launched a GoFundMe to help cover payroll during this unexpected closure. Every dollar will go directly to our staff to help them stay afloat until we can open our doors again.

🙏 If you can donate or share, we would be deeply grateful. Your support means everything during this difficult time.
