Proven Plates is growing, and I’m looking for the right person to join me! 💚

I’m hiring an experienced Part-Time Private Chef to help serve clients throughout the Texas Hill Country, including San Marcos, Wimberley, Dripping Springs, New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, Kyle, Buda and surrounding areas.

This is a contract, as-needed position with the potential to grow into a full-time role as Proven Plates continues to grow.

I’m looking for someone who is confident in the kitchen, works quickly and efficiently, takes pride in leaving a kitchen just as clean (or cleaner!) than they found it, and understands the level of professionalism and discretion required when working inside private residences.

What I’m looking for:
• Professional culinary or private chef experience
• Experience working in luxury/high-profile private residences preferred
• Strong cooking, knife and food-safety skills
• Ability to work quickly, independently and stay organized
• Recipe creation and menu development experience
• Grocery shopping and ingredient sourcing
• Thorough cleaning and sanitizing after service
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexible weekday availability and willingness to travel throughout the service area
• Comfortable working in homes with children and pets
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must maintain a professional, smoke-odor-free presence in clients’ homes
• Social media management, content creation and video editing experience are a plus!

Pay is competitive and based on experience and skill level.

Here’s dinner tonight from a chef and single mom of two boys 🌮🤍

Taco night!

Could I make the taco shells from scratch? Yep. Could I blend my own taco seasoning? Absolutely.

But just because I can make everything from scratch doesn’t mean I always have to.

Tonight I’m taking a few shortcuts, and I’m perfectly okay with that. These taco shells are seriously the BEST. They’re super thin, light and crispy, and this taco seasoning is one of my favorites. Add some seasoned meat, fresh toppings, a few easy sides, and dinner is DONE.

As a chef, I love cooking beautiful meals from scratch. As a mom, sometimes the win is simply getting everyone around the table with a good meal in front of them.

My boys are fed, they’re loved beyond measure, and taco night still hits every single time. 🤍

So if you’re a busy mom or dad, this is your reminder that cooking at home doesn’t have to mean doing everything from scratch. Use the seasoning packet. Buy the taco shells. Grab the pre-shredded cheese. Make dinner work for your family.
