The Canton Regency is collecting for Operation Christmas Child! Each shoebox is an opportunity to bring joy, hope, and love to a child around the world.

Residents, families, and team members are invited to join us by bringing items to the front desk for our collection or taking a shoebox home to fill and return.

It’s a beautiful reminder that small acts of kindness can make a world of difference. ❤️

Ninety-five years—and a cake big enough to share ❤️

Marilyn Eckroate celebrated her 95th birthday at Canton Regency, and she had a lovely way of marking the occasion: birthday cake for residents and team members alike.

It was a generous gesture, and one that made her birthday a celebration across the community.

Happy 95th birthday, Marilyn. We’re delighted to celebrate this milestone with you.

WALK! with Aegis is happening at The Canton Regency

This week, The Canton Regency is proud to join communities across the country for WALK! with Aegis Therapies — a national celebration of movement, connection and the many dimensions of wellness.

From getting outside for a walk to enjoying a little popcorn, cotton candy and time together, our residents have found plenty of ways to make wellness part of the week.

Because healthy aging is about more than exercise. It’s about staying active, connected, engaged and finding joy in the everyday moments.

Our next two book club selections are here, and we look forward to another wonderful opportunity to bring people together through great books and conversation.

On Thursday, November 19 at 4:00 p.m. we’ll discuss The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes, a Reese’s Book Club selection. Set in Depression-era Kentucky, this moving story follows a remarkable group of women who deliver books on horseback to remote communities, forging friendships, finding love and discovering the courage to shape their own lives.

On Thursday, January 7 at 4:00 p.m., we’ll gather to discuss Theo of Golden by Allen Levi, a New York Times bestseller. When a thoughtful stranger arrives in a small Southern town and begins gifting portraits to its residents, unexpected friendships emerge, revealing the extraordinary impact of kindness and human connection.

Whether you’re an avid reader or simply enjoy good conversation and meeting new people, we welcome you to join us at The Canton Regency. Bring your perspective, share your thoughts and enjoy an afternoon of engaging discussion and good company.

A wonderful evening of conversation, connection and community at The Canton Regency.

We welcomed over a dozen residents, team members and friends from beyond our community for our inaugural book club, featuring The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. Moderated by our Director of Sales & Marketing, Krista Reese, the evening brought together readers with different perspectives, experiences and insights, all connected by a shared love of a good book.

Our Chef created a menu inspired by the novel, featuring herb-roasted chicken, Maryland crab cakes, Brussels sprouts and an assortment of appetizers, including rye crostini with smoked salmon. W**e, shortbread cookies and lemon pound cake completed the evening.

The discussion was thoughtful, engaging and, at times, deeply personal. We explored the characters, exchanged interpretations and shared the ways the story resonated with each of us. It was a beautiful reminder of how meaningful connections can grow from simply gathering around a shared experience.

At The Canton Regency, we believe community is about more than where you live. It is about the people you meet, the conversations you share and the experiences that bring us together.

Our first book club was a wonderful reflection of that spirit, and we look forward to many more evenings of great books, exceptional dining and meaningful connection.

A little Dolly, a little happy hour and a whole lot of great music!

As part of our Dolly Parton Day celebration at The Canton Regency, we were delighted to welcome Canton musician Nick Bonner for this afternoon’s Happy Hour.

We couldn’t resist sharing his performance of Dolly’s beautiful “Light of a Clear Blue Morning” — a song filled with hope, optimism and the promise of brighter days ahead.

Thank you, Nick, for bringing your music to the Regency and making our Dolly Parton Day just a little more special. There’s nothing quite like live music, good company and an afternoon spent together 🦋

Our talented culinary team prepared a comforting favorite: meatloaf stuffed with cheddar cheese and spinach, topped with savory brown gravy and served with creamy mashed potatoes and tender steamed asparagus. A classic, hearty meal prepared with care and enjoyed by our residents.

Oktoberfest at The Canton Regency was filled with music, dancing, laughter and plenty of fun!

Our residents enjoyed lively Oktoberfest music, dancing with Julie Buckeye, festive fun with friends and, of course, plenty of classic pretzels to enjoy along the way. It was wonderful to see so many residents out on the dance floor, joining in and enjoying the celebration together.

A little music, a little dancing and a lot of Oktoberfest spirit — that’s how we celebrate at the Regency! 🥨
