New name on Facebook. New employment listed for November. The public still deserves answers.

I was sent these screenshots showing a profile under “Tonda Lynn,” listing a Senior Attorney position with Allstate Insurance starting in November 2026.

With my petition seeking her removal and suspension filed in the 294th District Court, the timing certainly raises questions.

These screenshots alone don’t prove why she is leaving office or whether the profile was recently changed. But if this is her announcement of her next move, here is my response: a new job does not answer the concerns raised about your conduct in public office.

The people of Van Zandt County deserve transparency and accountability. Changing a Facebook name or listing another employer does nothing to address that.

My reason for bringing this case has not changed. The community deserves answers, and I intend to keep asking for them.
I guess we're no longer in good hands with all state.

My vote on the proposed County Assistance District sales tax is an absolute NO—and I encourage everyone in our community to vote NO this November..

We support our first responders. At every one of our events, we feed police officers, firefighters, and EMS workers free of charge. My opposition comes from a lack of confidence in the people who would control and distribute this money.

I watched money approved for courthouse windows get moved back out afterward. Separately, the Paul Michael building was purchased using money from other accounts allocated for different purposes.

Those decisions have already cost them my trust. Another promise or spending plan will not restore it.

Our roads and emergency services deserve support, and taxpayers deserve responsible stewardship of the money we already pay.

I will not approve giving this leadership more money to manage. Please make your voice heard: vote NO on the County Assistance District sales tax.

I’ve learned to listen to the warnings. I don’t go against what I feel inside. God has your best interests at heart. He’s not trying to hold you back. He’s guiding you down the best path for your life. You can’t see what’s up ahead. You don’t know what’s coming: the dead ends, the detours, the floods. But like with Noah, God will warn you of things you can’t see. He’ll whisper to your spirit. “Be careful. Watch out. Go slow.” It may be a feeling, not a voice, but an uneasiness, where you know it’s not right. Instead of ignoring it, having to have our way, let’s have that holy fear. We don’t delay. “I’ll do it later.” We’re not stubborn. “I don’t want to change.” We don’t take it lightly or play around with our destiny. Like Noah, we obey when we don’t understand. We trust when it doesn’t make sense. We recognize God is protecting us and keeping us from unnecessary trouble and heartache.

The Texas Attorney General has ruled that Van Zandt County Appraisal District must release records I requested, with specific exceptions.

I’m sharing ruling OR2026-040477, dated September 14, 2026, so everyone can read the decision for themselves.

The ruling requires withholding certain protected information, including personal information, certain property sales information, and specific commercial information belonging to True Prodigy.

But its conclusion is clear:

“The remaining information must be released.”

The Attorney General rejected the district’s privacy argument for the remaining information. Other vendors did not submit arguments establishing a basis for withholding their information.

This is a partial victory for transparency. It requires the release of records; it does not establish wrongdoing.

On October 14, I wrote to Emily Reeves because I had not received all the records required to be released. I requested an explanation and a specific date for completing production.

I spend my days running our business and many nights reviewing documents and writing requests. I keep going because our community deserves clear answers and accountability from the public offices that serve us.

You can imagine the people who came by and made fun of him. “There’s that crazy man building a boat in the desert.” But Noah had a secret. He had been warned of things not yet seen. People couldn’t see it. The experts couldn’t predict it. The weatherman couldn’t forecast it. But God saw it. He knows what’s coming. Had Noah ignored that warning, we wouldn’t be talking about him. Because he obeyed, it saved him and his family. Some warnings, if you’ll act on them, do what you know God is telling you to do, it will not only save you, but it will save your children. It will impact your family and future generations.

I’ve received information from a source I consider reliable that District Attorney Tonda Curry has submitted a resignation letter to the Governor of Texas, with a reported effective date of November 4.

I have not yet obtained the letter or independently confirmed those details. I am seeking the documents and will share what they establish once I receive them.

With a removal proceeding and a request for temporary suspension pending, the timing deserves public attention. But her reasons, any effect on her benefits, and how the court would rule have not been established.

Our community deserves answers backed by documents. I will keep pursuing those answers and sharing the facts with you.

Hebrews 11 says, “By faith, Noah being warned by God of things not yet seen, moved with holy fear and built an ark.” Noah was going along fine. He had a great family, blessed in his business, but something was coming that he couldn’t see. He had no way of knowing danger was up ahead. That there was going to be a flood. It had never rained. They had no concept of water flooding and causing problems. No technology to forecast weather and predict storms. This was totally foreign, but God knows everything that’s coming: the storms, the traps, the trouble, the people with wrong motives, the opportunities that look good but are dead ends. He’s not going to let you walk into danger without giving you warnings. That alarm will go off. That uneasiness where you know you need to be wary. Noah could have dismissed it. There was no visible evidence that a flood was coming. No clouds, no thunder. I’m sure he thought, “I must have heard God wrong. This is far out.” No, he moved with holy fear and built an ark. He had such a reverence for God, such a trust, that he acted on what he heard.

The Attorney General has ruled: Van Zandt County Appraisal District must release records I requested—with specific trade-secret exceptions.

I’m sharing the October 6 ruling below so everyone can read it for themselves.

My request concerns records about the disclosure of disability exemption information on the appraisal district’s website. True Prodigy and Spindlemedia submitted arguments seeking to protect certain information from disclosure.

The Attorney General agreed that specific portions must be withheld as trade secrets, but rejected the other grounds offered for withholding the remaining information.

The conclusion is clear:

“The district must release the remaining information.”

This is a partial victory for transparency. This ruling addresses access to the records; it does not determine whether the original disclosure of disability exemption information was unlawful.

As of today, October 14, I have not received the records ordered released. I have written to Emily Reeves asking why, when they will be provided, and whether any lawsuit has been filed challenging the ruling.

Our community deserves transparency, accountability, and clear answers. I will continue pursuing the records and share updates as they become available.

🔥If the records don’t exist, what are we looking at here?🔥

Thank you, Commissioner Mitch Curtis, for showing the public how Precinct 1 keeps its records. His post describes daily work reports and documentation of projected and actual costs for major improvements. He also shared photographs of invoices and other records and expressed his intention to put capital improvements on the precinct’s website.

That raises a serious question: Why was I told there were no responsive records to my road reconstruction request?

Mr. Acosta, how does that response square with the records Commissioner Curtis is showing here? Were these records searched and reviewed when my request was handled? If they fall within my request, why weren’t they provided?

I’ve been collecting the correspondence and documenting the responses. I intend to submit this additional information to the Attorney General’s office for review. Any determination of violations or consequences belongs to the appropriate authorities, but I will keep pursuing answers.

Taxpayers deserve to know where their money goes and to receive accurate responses when they request public records.

Mitch, thank you for your openness and your willingness to make this information available. This is the transparency our community deserves from every county office.

It has taken me this long to understand even a little of life.

I still don’t have it all figured out. But the ups and downs, the happy days and the nights I wondered how I would make it through—the heartaches, the losses, the trials—have changed the way I see the world.

I listen more than I talk now. I’m slower to judge because I know how much pain a person can carry without ever speaking a word about it. I understand that a smile doesn’t always mean someone is okay, and strength sometimes looks like getting out of bed when your heart is exhausted.

There are days I wish I could put what I know now into the heart of the young man I used to be. I wish I could sit beside him and tell him what matters, what to let go of, and which people to hold a little longer.

But then I wonder: would he understand me without living through the years that taught me?

How could I explain the value of a moment before he knew what it meant to lose one? How could I teach him compassion without showing him the wounds that opened my own heart?

Sometimes I look back and wonder who I would have become if I had taken a different road. There are choices I would change. There are people I wish I could hug again. There are words I wish I had spoken—and others I wish I could take back.

And now, just as some things are becoming clearer, I realize how much of my life is already behind me. That is a hard truth to sit with. It makes the time I have left feel precious.

I believe God has had a purpose for my life through every chapter. Even when I couldn’t see a way forward, He could. I’m still learning to trust Him with the pages I haven’t lived yet.

Maybe that’s why I feel called to share my story. Somewhere, someone is walking through a chapter I recognize. If what I’ve lived can help them feel less alone, hold on a little longer, or find the courage to take another step, then I have something worth giving.

I can’t go back and give my younger self this understanding.

But I can offer it to someone who still has that road ahead of them.

And with whatever time God gives me, that is what I intend to do. 🙏❤️

Sometimes we feel an uneasiness: the alarm is going off, but we keep overriding it. You hear that whisper, “You need to treat your spouse better; quit saying condescending things. You need to take care of yourself, your health." You feel that unrest, that nudging that you need to change. God said in Psalms, “I will guide you along the best path for your life.” There’s the promise. God is going to guide you. But the next verse is the key. “Don’t be like a senseless mule and have to have a bit and bridle to stay under control.” God is saying, “I’m going to guide you, but don’t be stubborn. Don’t ignore My warnings. Don’t keep turning off the alarm.”

I hope a concern I’ve raised privately can be addressed before tomorrow at noon. I’ve made several attempts to get a response and given those involved an opportunity to resolve it.

If there is still no acknowledgment or meaningful effort to address it, I plan to share a public account at 12 noon tomorrow, supported by the relevant documentation.

I would much rather have a productive conversation and a solution. It’s frustrating when private concerns go unanswered, only to receive attention once they become public.

If I publish, I intend to leave the factual record available. Any response or resolution will be added as an update, and any errors will be corrected.

There is still an opportunity to address this. I sincerely hope it doesn’t require a public post.

My heart hurts for this community. It truly does..

Every day, people around us are struggling to pay their bills, care for their families, and make it through circumstances others may never see. They deserve public servants who listen, make honest decisions, and work to ease those burdens.

We’ve seen too much dishonesty and too many reasons to question the people we’ve trusted. This last election brought some changes, and I pray we made good decisions. Only time will tell. Campaign promises give us words; what happens afterward shows us who we elected.

I’m also deeply disappointed in the direction of some of our local Republican clubs. People have left one organization for another, but changing the name or the meeting place means little if the same behavior continues. Supporting someone because of friendships or connections, while overlooking how they treat the community, damages the trust these organizations should be building.

I cannot speak to everyone’s motives. I can speak clearly about my own.

I have never wanted favors, private arrangements, or a place behind the curtain. When I stand behind someone, I tell them plainly: do a good job, and I ask for nothing in return. When our community brings you a concern, listen and take appropriate action. If you cannot do that, I cannot continue standing behind you.

My support comes with accountability. It should.

There are people in public office who, in my opinion, have forgotten whom they serve. A citizen should be able to ask a question, raise a concern, or disagree without being treated as an enemy. The people you represent deserve your attention and your respect.

As future elections approach, I will keep paying attention, asking questions, and preparing. Meaningful change takes work long before anyone casts a ballot. I’m willing to do that work, and I will stand firm when it gets difficult.

But I wish it didn’t have to be such a fight just to get people to do the right thing.

I want our neighbors to feel heard. I want families to have confidence that their concerns matter. I want leaders who care enough to make difficult, honest decisions—even when those decisions cost them support from their friends.

This is our home. These are our families. What happens here matters deeply to me.

I pray God gives us wisdom to recognize good leadership, courage to hold it accountable, and humility to admit when we’ve made a mistake. I still believe this community can have something better, and I’m willing to keep working for it. 🙏❤️

We’re letting doubt and negative voices convince us that we’re limited. “I can’t do anything great; I come from the wrong family; I don’t have the talent.” Who told you that? Where did those thoughts come from? That’s the enemy trying to keep you in the shade. He’d love for you to believe those lies your whole life, live with a defeated mindset, hiding, insecure, afraid to step out. This can be a destiny moment for you. God is saying, “Mighty hero, come out from under that shade. Mighty hero, it’s time to step up to who you were created to be.”

A true friend doesn’t run away when someone fails; they run to the person. Your friends don’t need you as much when everything is going great. They’re seeing dreams come to pass, success. Celebrate with them, that’s exciting, but when they really need you is when things aren’t so great. They’ve made mistakes. Life has thrown them a curve; the medical report wasn’t good. When their faith is low, that’s when you can make the biggest difference. They need some borrowed faith. They need you to believe for them while they can’t believe. They need you to speak victory while they’re too discouraged.
