Just a reminder that due to the closure of the section of Piedmont Avenue between Cumberland and State during the festival, parking is extremely limited around the downtown store. Blackbird is not inside the boundaries of the festival and will be open regular hours.

Have you had one of our house made croissants? Flaky, layered, buttery goodness that comes in 3 varieties; traditional, chocolate, and everything bagel seasoned (not pictured). Have I mentioned they are huge? We make a limited number every day.

Blackbird Bakery & Blackbird On The Fly will not have cake doughnuts on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
We are so sorry for this inconvenience. Cake doughnuts will be back the morning of Friday, September 4th with a seasonal addition to the menu. Look for that special post Friday morning.

Happy September! Looking forward to cooler days and fall colors. Our cake of the month is Apple cake with cream cheese icing. Made from scratch right here in our Blackbird kitchen.

Available at our downtown store every day throughout September in 3 sizes of whole cake and by the slice, while supplies last. (Whole cakes and cake slices are not available at Blackbird On The Fly. Visit their page to see the seasonal items they have available)

Another day to celebrate - it’s National Pots de Crème day! This rich and creamy chocolate custard is made from scratch right here in our Blackbird kitchen. As a bonus - it’s gluten free. (Including the whipped cream). Available at both locations.
