The Egg & Eggplant Sandwich is back by popular demand! Our area manager Chris said recently “We get questions about this every day.” The Egg & Eggplant, or as we lovingly call it, Egg & Egg, is our version of an Iraqi-Jewish sandwich. It has hummus, cucumber tomato salad, crisp, custardy circles of local eggplant (right now coming from Mokrzecki Farm in Hadley), a perfect hardboiled egg, and a drizzle of nutty tahini sauce. It was on our menu full-time for the first decade of Clover, but now we run it seasonally when we can get the best local eggplant.
