This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.
For the past seven years, we’ve poured everything we have into True Story. We’ve never had outside investors or any financial backing. Just our hard work, stubborn determination, and a belief that Birmingham deserves a place where everyone belongs.
True Story has never just been about beer. It’s about the countless talents that have graced our stage, the hosts who work so hard to bring the best and most diverse entertainment to you, the amazing bartenders that make everyone feel welcome, families, neighbors and friends who have made this place feel like home.
Today, we’re asking for help.
We’ve started a GoFundMe to help us get through one of the toughest seasons we’ve faced. If True Story has ever meant something to you, whether you’ve spent one evening here or one-hundred, we would be incredibly grateful if you’d consider donating or simply sharing our fundraiser.
