Ciao a tutti! In recognition of the positive reception to our Dine LA menus, Il Cielo is delighted to continue this tradition, offering the same exceptional value daily— $45 for lunch and $65 for dinner — with menus thoughtfully reimagined each season.

Both menus are 3- courses, and are exclusively offered for à la carte dining.

Following the loss of our beloved founder Pasquale Vericella, we understand why this news may have caused concern.

We want our guests, neighbors, community, and longtime friends to hear directly from Pattie Vericella: ♥️“Our family remains wholeheartedly devoted to Il Cielo and to honoring the legacy Pasquale so lovingly built over more than 40 years. We are here to stay — carrying his spirit forward with every table we set, every dish we serve, and every memory we help create.”

To be clear: Il Cielo has not been sold. The recent transaction involved only the real estate — not the business, brand, or operations. Il Cielo remains proudly owned and operated by our family, just as it always has been.

We’re still here, still open, and still looking forward to welcoming you with the same warmth and hospitality you’ve always known.

With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved owner and patriarch, Pasquale Vericella, passed away on Friday, July 24th, after a long battle with cancer — the very same day marking Il Cielo’s 40th anniversary. It feels like a gift that these two dates now share a place in our story forever.

Pasquale is survived by his wife, Pattie, and their three children, Cristina, Julia, and Sebastian, who carry forward his creativity, warmth, and love of life in everything they do. If you ever met Pasquale, you know the feeling he gave you — like family, like home. That was his gift, and it’s the same gift he and Pattie built into every corner of Il Cielo when they opened its doors on July 24th, 1986.

For 40 years, this restaurant has held your weddings, your milestones, your everyday joys — and we know so many of you hold Pasquale’s memory alongside those moments. His legacy and his dream live on, and Il Cielo and its beloved staff and family will continue to welcome you for many years to come.

We’ll be holding a private memorial for family and close friends, per Pasquale’s wishes to keep this moment intimate. Thank you, from all of our hearts, for 40 years of love and support.
