To our wonderful community,
Let us just start by saying thank you. Thank you for joining us at our tables for record size pancakes, for celebrating your kids birthdays in our booths, for telling jokes and stories while bellied up at our counter. Thank you for visiting us when you were home from college, for warming up with a hot cup of coffee with us on a cold winter day, for singing along to our oldies music with your friends. Thank you for every time you came in hungry and told us how full you were as you left. Thank you for showing love to your neighbors by contributing cups of kindness to our Pay It Forward program and donating hundreds of toys and food items to our countless drives over the years. Thank you for nearly 20 years of your support, your memories, your traditions, and your care. You’ve become part of our family.
And so we say this with a very grateful, bittersweet, and of course sad heart that Daddio’s Diner will be closing and our final day of business will be Wednesday, September 23. With rising costs of goods and an expiring lease, we had to make the very hard decision to close our doors at the end of next month. Thank you to Batavia Enterprises for their support over the years.
We hope that these final weeks feel like a wonderful and loving goodbye celebration as we get to see all the faces we’ve known and loved for 20 years so we can feed you one last time. We need your support now more than ever. Please stop in for a bite, order up your favorite meal, grab one of Mommio’s Chocolate Chip Cookies while you can, and celebrate what a special place this diner has been.
