Exactly one year ago, Leilani closed its doors.
It was one of the hardest chapters of our journey. Hearts were broken, dreams felt uncertain, and if we’re being honest, we had no idea what the future would hold.
But through all of the uncertainty, we knew one thing with absolute certainty: we loved each other like family, and no matter where life took us, we would always support one another.
Today, at exactly 2:00 a.m., one of our own quite literally took off on a plane to New York City to begin an incredible new chapter as Executive Chef for a nationwide hospitality group.
Watching someone you care about step into the life they’ve worked so hard to build is bittersweet. We’ll miss having him close, but our hearts are overflowing with pride.
As we continue building an even stronger Leilani Asian Fusion, we’re reminded that every ending carries the seed of a new beginning. Sometimes what feels like a loss is simply life making room for something greater.
One year ago, a door closed.
Today, another opened. And a year from now, more doors will open.
If we’ve learned anything, it’s this: when one door closes… don’t just wait for another to open.
