RECORDS ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN… AND YOU BROKE OURS AGAIN. ❤️

Friday — and somehow, ANOTHER all-time sales record.

We added 3 more team members, stocked up, prepared more than the day before… and we were STILL not ready for you, Aubrey. 😂❤️

For the first time since opening Dos Mezclas, we ran out of chips, salsa, silverware, drink mixes, and so much more.

This expansion has brought us so many firsts. We increased our dining space, but our kitchen, equipment, and storage stayed the same — and that has become one of our biggest challenges. Seeing guests wait 45+ minutes for food breaks my heart, and to anyone who experienced delays or slower service, we sincerely apologize.

We are learning, adjusting, adding staff, increasing inventory, and pushing harder every day.

You even proved that 5 AC units aren’t enough when the whole Dos Mezclas family shows up at once. 😂🔥

The love Aubrey has shown us through this reopening is something I will never forget. It doesn’t feel like customers supporting a restaurant anymore.

It feels like family supporting family. ❤️

I feel incredibly blessed to call Aubrey home and even more blessed that Dos Mezclas gets to grow here with all of you.

I’m on my way to restock everything we ran out of so we can be ready for Saturday!

Although at this point… every time we say we’re ready, you guys take it as a challenge. 😂🌮

RECORDS ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN… AND YOU BROKE OURS AGAIN. ❤️

Friday — and somehow, ANOTHER all-time sales record.

We added 3 more members to our team, stocked up, prepared more than the day before, and somehow… we were STILL not prepared for you, Aubrey. 😂❤️

For the first time since opening Dos Mezclas, we ran out of chips, salsa, silverware, our drink mixes, and so many other things. There are so many things we are experiencing for the very first time with this expansion and this new level of volume.

With this expansion, I can honestly say: with great growth comes great responsibility.

We increased our dining area, but the truth is we will likely never be able to increase our kitchen capacity. And that has become one of the biggest reasons food is taking longer to come out. It breaks my heart watching people hungry, waiting 45+ minutes for their food.

The demand has grown, the number of guests we can seat has grown, but the equipment, kitchen space, and storage have not. And unfortunately, there is no way to add more kitchen space or fit more equipment to match the volume.

Every time we think, “Okay, surely this is enough,” you all prove us wrong.

Running a restaurant with this much capacity and this many orders is completely new for us. It can be overwhelming, but more than anything, it is an incredible blessing.

You even proved that 5 AC units aren’t enough when the whole Dos Mezclas family shows up at once. 😂🔥

Seeing people willing to wait so long just to sit down and enjoy our food makes me incredibly happy, but also a little sad because we never want anyone waiting that long. To anyone who experienced delays, slower service, or any inconvenience tonight, we sincerely apologize.

Please know that behind the scenes, we are learning, adjusting, adding staff, increasing inventory, and pushing ourselves harder every single day.

And somehow, instead of getting discouraged by the challenges, you all keep giving us more reasons to push harder and become better. You deserve the absolute best from us.

What means the most is the love this town continues to show us.

The support Aubrey has given us through this reopening doesn’t feel like customers supporting a restaurant anymore.

It feels like family supporting family. ❤️

I feel incredibly blessed to call Aubrey my home and even more blessed that Dos Mezclas gets to grow here with all of you.

WE ARE BACK — and wow… what a welcome. ❤️🌮

After being closed for almost 4 weeks, we finally reopened our doors today, and we are honestly overwhelmed in the best possible way.

For a Thursday, we never expected the kind of response we received. You helped us break our all-time sales record. 🥹❤️ It was even busier than any weekend we’ve had since opening last year.

Seeing so many familiar faces walk through the doors, showing us love, support, and excitement after being away for so long meant more to us than we can put into words. Thank you, truly.

At the same time, we owe many of you an apology.

We were not prepared or staffed enough for this kind of turnout. Even with our expanded dining room and the ability to accommodate more guests, some of you still waited close to an hour for a table. Others waited longer than we would ever want for someone to take your order or for your food to arrive.

We did everything we could tonight, but we know that for some of you, our service was not at the level we expect from ourselves — and for that, we are truly sorry.

It was an incredible feeling seeing a restaurant full of people who have supported us from the beginning, but at the same time, it was difficult knowing we couldn't give every single table the attention you deserved.

The expansion is new for us too. We’re learning how to operate with a much bigger space, a larger capacity, and a whole new level of volume. We promise we’ll learn from tonight, adjust quickly, and continue building our team so we can give you the experience you deserve.

For this weekend, we are doing everything possible to have our full team ready because after what you showed us tonight… we know we better be prepared! 😂❤️

Tonight was exhausting, emotional, exciting, and absolutely unforgettable.

After weeks of construction, improvements, final touches, and inspections, we are FINALLY ready to welcome everyone back!

Good things take time… and we’re almost there! ❤️🌮

Today was our tentative reopening date, but we’re not quite ready to open our doors just yet. We’re officially in the final stages, finishing up the last few details and working through our final inspections.

We know you’ve all been patiently waiting, and we truly appreciate every message, every word of encouragement, and all the excitement about the new Dos Mezclas. ❤️

We don’t want to announce another date until we know for sure, so our official reopening date will be announced very soon.

We’ve been a little quiet because we’ve been busy behind the scenes… 👀

Good things take a little longer than expected, so our reopening has been pushed back.

📅 Our new tentative reopening date is Tuesday, August 11.

During this final week of construction and finishing touches, the restaurant AND catering services will both be temporarily closed.

We promise it’ll be worth the wait.

To allow our staff a well-deserved break and to complete important maintenance and repairs throughout the restaurant, we will be temporarily closed for regular service from July 20 through August 3.
