shoutout to coyote mcgrane and the piedmont team for helping create such a special moment for longtime little rey fans holly fletcher and her fiancé, richard lauth, on their engagement night! 👏⁠

little rey has been part of their story from the beginning, from their first date in may 2022 to celebrating richard’s 50th birthday, so richard knew there was no better place to pop the big question! ⁠

the team made the night extra special with a heartfelt card, a champagne toast, and soft serve to end the night. talk about a magic moment! way to go above and beyond!🍦🥂

a: this is like asking someone to pick their favorite child. so with that said, agnolotti. that’s the first stuffed pasta i learned to make considering it’s on our menu, and so it will always be special to me.⁠

a: i am from durham, nc, but i recently spent 11 years in the midwest before moving back to the east coast.�⁠�⁠

q: favorite menu item at little sparrow?�⁠
a: right now, it's the scallops. a great deal of effort goes into making any of our stocks, and the lobster stock and resulting lobster cream on that dish is especially luxurious.⁠

q: what's one thing on your bucket list?�⁠
a: i love scuba diving, and would jump right in at the opportunity to dive with sharks.�⁠⁠�⁠

q: what is your favorite ingredient to work with right now?�⁠
a: i've been drawn to using miso recently. it's endlessly versatile, you can be subtle or expressive and unexpected with it. brown butter and a little miso paste in chocolate chip cookies is unreal.⁠

a: art inspires me, painting, stain glass, drawing. i have a fine arts degree from appalachian state, my favorite artist was georgia o'keeffe. i loved how she used the nature of new mexico to inspire her work and transform it into beautiful artwork.
