When Miguel and I opened Flaky Not Flaky, we were writing a love letter to Georgia. A place where sconuts, Southern biscuits, and French pastries could happily share the same menu. Where handcrafted Venezuelan chocolates could sit beside locally roasted coffee. Where every guest, whether they’re a regular who visits every morning or someone discovering us for the first time, would feel like they had just walked into their family’s kitchen. Georgia is a place where old traditions and fresh ideas live side by side, which is the exact spirit Flaky wants to capture.
Flaky has always been about more than food. It’s about conversation, community, diversity…Atlanta! We are indeed Old Friends Who Just Met. Every smile shared across the counter, every market morning, every partnership with local makers, every Flaky friend who tells us about their day - the good and the bad- those moments are what make this journey so meaningful.
