Oh Miss Marilyn Robbins . Let’s try to find the words on how incredible you are. You are one for the core reasons we are both here today starting a bookstore. You provided a safe place for our children to roam and fall in love with stories while we found new mom friends. You gave Kim’s kids a Colorado Grandma. Your generosity, positivity and support have helped us grow our family and business. We are so grateful you are in our lives. Your belief in us and your ability to connect with humans of all ages is a gift we are so very grateful for. It was surreal to meet authors, publishers and fellow booksellers with you this week! Thank you for keeping us in your big heart. 💕

Let Books Be. Protect the Freedom to Read. These are the top most challenged books of 2025. In 2025, 92% of all book challenges were initiated by pressure groups, government officials, and decision makers, up from 72% in 2024. Less than 3% of challenges originated from individual parents.

The most common justifications for censorship provided by complainants were false claims of illegal obscenity for minors; inclusion of LGBTQIA+ characters or themes; and covering topics of race, racism, equity, and social justice.
