Hmong story cloths are more than textiles. They’re living archives of our history, our resilience, and our diaspora. From village life to the journeys through war and refugee camps, these cloths carry the stories our elders stitched when words were not enough. This workshop is a chance to learn what these textiles mean, why they matter, and how they continue to preserve culture across generations. Come support it. Come create. Come for the stories, the history, and the artists who keep these memories alive.
On October 17th, we’ll be at the public library for a Hmong textile story cloth workshop, a gathering shaped by tradition, artistry, and community storytelling. It’s an honor for Golden Poppy Café to share a bit of warmth in a space where culture is held with care and passed forward through craft.
