A quick update!

Because we make almost everything from scratch, we were able to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner today for several first responders with specific dietary needs, including gluten-free, Alpha-gal friendly, and vegetarian meals, along with many more meals through our Pay It Forward program.

We are truly overwhelmed by the generosity this community has shown over the last couple of days. Your kindness has allowed us to get good, homemade meals into the hands of the people who need them most, and for that we are incredibly grateful.

Well... today escalated quickly.

We started the day delivering sandwiches and cinnamon rolls, then got a call asking if we could feed 100 first responders.

Challenge accepted.

In less than an hour, Chef Sam, Chef Tony, and our friends at Baylee Jo's BBQ had a hot meal cooked, packed, and on its way.

This is exactly what your Pay It Forward donations were meant for. Every dollar you gave helped make this happen, and we can't thank you enough for trusting us to put it to work.

Huge shoutout to Farmer's Daughters Bakery & Deli for letting us borrow some cream cheese, Chef Sam, Tony, Baylee Joe's BBQ (The BEST BBQ sauce around btw!), and of course all of the first responders and volunteers who have been working around the clock to keep our community safe.

Iron County really knows how to show up when it matters.

We don't even know how to put into words what we've witnessed today!

What started as a simple idea to help our neighbors has turned into an overwhelming outpouring of kindness. Thank you to every single person who donated, shared our post, said a prayer, or reached out to ask how they could help. You reminded us what makes Iron County so special.

Tomorrow morning, our infamous baker will be busy making hundreds of our famous homemade cinnamon rolls and fresh sandwiches to deliver throughout the community.

Where are the greatest needs?

If you know of a shelter, a neighborhood, first responders, volunteer crews, or families who could use a meal, please tag them or leave the information in the comments. We want to get this food into the hands of the people who need it most!

If your family has been affected by the flooding, please don't hesitate to reach out. These meals have already been paid for by your neighbors, and it would be our honor to serve you.

Thank you for reminding us that even in the hardest moments, kindness always rises above the water.

🚨Update!!🚨 We have 90 meals available!!! Please spread the word to first responders, utility workers, and those affected!! Thank you to all of those that have donated!

Our hearts are with every family, first responder, volunteer, and neighbor affected by the flooding. ❤️

Thee Abbey Kitchen is OPEN, and if you or someone you know has been impacted and could use a hot meal, please come see us. We don't ever want someone to go hungry because they're dealing with the aftermath of this disaster.

If you're able, we'd love your help paying it forward. Stop in and add $10 to our Pay It Forward Meal Fund, and we'll cover the rest so someone in need can enjoy a hot meal with dignity.

This community has always shown up for one another, and we know we'll get through this together.
