The Evening Star Cafe is a rollicking neighborhood gem located in the heart of Del Ray. Opened in 1997, Evening Star is well known for its friendly vibe and convivial setting and continues to shine with a fiercely loyal crowd. Led by Executive Chef Keith Cabot, we combine friendly, gracious service with a seasonal, American menu featuring produce grown on our rooftop garden and by local farmers th

roughout the region. The Evening Star also offers a stunning array of nearly 1,500 wines, all of which are available next door at Planet Wine Shop. Our bars, The Majestic Lounge and the No. 9 Lounge, each offer a total of 20 craft draft and cask beers, plus plenty of room to gather with friends. The upstairs bar, No. 9 Lounge, is open Wednesday through Saturday at 5:30 PM. Join the fun and vibrant Del Ray community for a special summer event, featuring live music in outdoor restaurant venues along the Avenue! The 6th Annual Bands & Brews: Del Ray’s Summer Bar Crawl takes place on Saturday, August 15 from 12:30-6pm.

This year’s fundraiser will benefit The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria, a local non-profit that assists students and their families by providing college and career advising, scholarship opportunities, to over 400+ Alexandria City High School Graduates each year.

We’re excited to participate with the Yacht Rock Zone out back at Hi/Fi Tex-Mex BBQ! Check out our slate of performances for the bar crawl:
