Introducing Juan Carlos Osorio and his beautiful washed Tabi.

We’ve been working with this lovely coffee for a few weeks now and we’re loving it. Juicy and sweet with notes of candied orange and peach, a perfect cup for the approaching summer.

This coffee is a story of persistence and the will to build something of your own. Don Juan Carlos Osorio started working on his family farm at a young age, building his relationship with the land in Tarqui.

At just 19 he was married and had a newborn child. With a young family to support, he felt a need to forge his own path and build a stable future. As he left his parent’s farm, he worked himself up to manager at farms in Pitalito and El Pital. This allowed him to learn and deepen his knowledge of agriculture, while his desire for something of his own grew.

When he returned home he bought a small plot of land but continued to work on neighbouring farms to sustain his family and to invest in his dream. The land he bought was overgrown scrubland, so clearing it to prepare for farming was slow and hard. To prepare the soil, he started planting green beans and tomatoes.

When the time finally came to plant coffee, it was under difficult conditions. His land is located in an area that is hard to access, with a steep slope. Several times the heavy rains have triggered landslides that put his production at risk.

Despite all this, he has not given up. In many ways, the hardships and challenges have reinforced his commitment to the land, his family, and his determination to produce quality coffee.

Monday, and we are finally back to regular business hours!

Come down to the docks between 8 and 16 and sit down with a treat of your choice. We’re currently working with pairs to choose from: Two different cookies, espresso roasts, batch brews and now also two coffees for pour over.

We’ve been experimenting for some time, trying different methods, filters and styles and we finally ended up with the trusty Hario V60. In our humble opinion it turned out to be the most consistent and easy to replicate, while also having the best balance between brightness and sweetness.

Each week Hannes and Moa picks out new coffees for the bar. Come down and find your favourite!

On Monday and Tuesday the whole team is going to Stockholm for the Swedish Gastronomy Awards, where we’ve been nominated! On Thursday we are closed for the Ascension Day holiday.

SATURDAY FIKA!

This Saturday, April 25, we are finally open for fika and free coffee tastings again.

We’re open 11-15, with free tastings at 12 and 14. They are about 30 minutes and in English. No need to sign up, just show up and slurp!

We’ll also offer some fantastic pastries from our dear friends . We’re only ordering 100 pieces, so don’t miss out.

We’ve made some real improvements to our little shed by the docks.

New doors and windows to let more of our spectacular view and the natural light in.

We’ve also built a separation between the shop and the roastery which is basically noise proof. So now you can enjoy your fika without having to listen to us roast.

We’re open Monday to Friday, 8-16 as usual. As well as this Saturday April 25, 11-15. Come check it out!

The roastery before it was a roastery. In 2019 we got the keys and started tearing down walls so we could start building our dream roastery.

Same exact angle 7 years later in 2026. It’s wild to think about what time, and a lot of work can do to a space.

The best thing for us throughout the years has been all the people that come by. Thanks for helping us make our dream a reality, and for filing our space with love and joy.

Here’s to at least another 7 years by the docks!

We’re so proud to once again be nominated as one of Sweden’s top coffee experiences!

It’s awarded by the Swedish Gastronomy Awards and
nominations are made by 100 people working in the coffee industry, making it all the more meaningful. This is the fifth time Morgon is nominated, and to be recognised among these other amazing businesses is such an honour.

Hannes is also nominated as one of the top baristas in Sweden! We might be partial, but we couldn’t agree more! 💙

Allow us to introduce our newest coffee!

A washed Pink Bourbon from producer Arnulfo Leguizamo of San Augustin, Colombia. Expect bright and juicy notes of delicious passion fruit soda and mandarin oranges.

While Arnulfo Leguizamo is a new name for our lineup, he sure isn’t a newcomer when it comes to coffee. Rather, he’s a legend, and someone other producers look to for inspiration and advice.

Back in 2013 he won the Cup of Excellence, breaking the record for the highest price of a coffee out of San Augustin. Arnulfo used the money he earned to buy a second farm, a new truck, and to pay off his family’s debt. A testament to the power of speciality coffee and the aim for quality.

We thought we had closed the books on buying delicious Colombian lots for 2026, but when we got to try this sample we needed to have it to share with you. What stood out for us was the notes of juicy passion fruit soda. Absolutely delicious!

2016!

We might be late to the trend, but we were having wine this weekend and realised we had such a great year together, 10 years ago!

We both competed, with Gabbi coming a super close second in Brewers Cup, and Markus having a great time in Cup Tasters…

We won the Barista League! On our home turf here in Gothenburg! That also meant we got to fly to Antwerp for a caffeinated weekend of fun.

We worked at da Matteo Roastery at the time, and got to travel to Colombia and Prague.

A lot of the inspiration we carried with us from 2016 turned into what made us start Morgon in 2018. So a great year indeed. Here’s to 10 more!

Tomorrow is our last open day of 2025 and we don’t want to leave a single bean behind. So tomorrow you can get 4 x 250 gram bags for 600 SEK at the roastery!

The offer is for all our coffees except for the Geishas, which you can get 2 x 250 gram for 400.

We are open for Saturday Fika tomorrow, Saturday December 20, 11-15. Come on by and help us clean out the roastery before 2026!
