An 88-point coffee that tastes like flowers: 🌸 Meet our new Geisha & Cusha from Guatemala 🌸
Geisha is one of the rarest and most loved coffee varieties in the world, famous for tasting light and floral, almost like tea.
Where it’s from: the mountains of Nuevo Oriente, in Guatemala, between 1,300 and 1,700 metres high. Coffee grown up high ripens slowly, and that makes it sweeter.
How we roast it: lightly, in small batches, here in Madeira. A light roast keeps the natural flavours of the bean instead of the “burnt” taste.
What it tastes like: apricot, jasmine and honey. No sugar needed.
Why 88 points: specialty coffee judges score every coffee out of 100. Anything above 80 counts as specialty, and this one got 88.
How to drink it: black, as a filter coffee. If you have a V60, Aeropress or Chemex at home, perfect. If you don’t have a grinder, we’ll grind it for you.
Keep it fresh: close the bag well and keep it away from heat and sunlight. It’s at its best in the first 3 months after the roast date on the bag.
Try it at the bar or take a 150g bag home (€17).
