From one coffee cart in a palengke…
to 11 branches and 110 people building Candid every day. 💪💪

It was full of trial and error, hindi siya straight line - after all, it's not everyday an event cart grows into branches. Maraming sablay, takeaways, and a whole lot of people who helped us get here.

And maybe that's what makes this milestone "Special." 💙

We’re still learning, still growing, and still finding more ways to put good Filipino coffee in more cups, all while maintaining what makes Candid, well - Candid!

We know you’ve been waiting. 😅

The Pumpkin Spice Latte is finally here but Sureprise surprise, we changed the recipe this year.

Same PSL, different components

We wanted it richer and more layered, so this version has cold brew, oat milk, apple pie foam, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Even the process got an upgrade because we couldn’t just leave a good thing alone. 😂

The result? Creamy, spiced, and still has that coffee kick, so it’s not giving purely sweet pumpkin drink.

So far we've already been hearing the “mas masarap ’to kaysa sa…” comments.
Their words, not ours.

Ask our baristas muna since our printing materials haven’t arrived yet. 😭 We’re nothing if not consistent with the late arrivals. 😂

We know that Starburst is a crowd favorite and it literally vanished into thin air during the first drop, but hear us out! STARBURST IS BACK 😌...for another limited time only 😭

This omni-roast manages to balance sweet and berry notes, and the roasting reallyyyy bring out that liquid candy finish.

Sooo we were actually preparing to give ourselves a fake award.

Not because we won anything. Wala lang. Sometimes you have to be your own biggest supporter 😌🏆

Award: "Received absolutely NO AWARD"

But plot twist… we might actually get a legit one pala 😂

Some delulu nominated us for Asia Pacific’s 100 Best Coffee Shops.

Whoever you are, thank you for believing in us 😙 ❤️ 😙 ❤️ (Promise Wala kami binayaran, Walang budget yung kuripot naming boss😭)
But jokes aside, this is pretty wild for us. 9 years of making coffee, opening stores, roasting, getting roasted , making weird drinks nobody asked for, and occasionally getting cancelled 🫣🤭

So being considered alongside some of the best coffee shops in Asia Pacific feels like a nice little pat on the back that maybe, somehow, may tama rin pala kaming ginagawa 🥹

And really, we wouldn’t have lasted 9 years without everyone who kept showing up.

We’re a little late, as per usual… but the Pumpkin Spice Latte is finally back. 🎃

This drink actually started as pang-asar lang sa kabilang cafe. We didn’t expect much from it, but you guys ended up loving it - and eventually started asking when we’d bring it back.

So this year, we decided to give it another go.

Saucy Kalabasa V.2, oat milk, cold brew, apple pie foam, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. We kept what made the original work, then added a few things to make the drink more our own.

No fall weather here, but at least we can have our fall moment in a cup. 🤎

Pumpkin Spice Latte is back. See you on Monday, October 5.

Meron din palang ganda ang buhay…

…with a FREE MAHLKÖNIG GRINDER FOR ALEC. 🎉🎉🎉

What started as a branch-hopping challenge turned into a whole coffee journey. This raffle wasn’t just about getting you guys to visit our branches or try our drinks. We wanted you to experience the bits and pieces of each Candid story through our beans, our drinks, and the people behind every branch.

And out of everyone who joined, 5 people finished all 11 branches in just 2 months.

Rain or shine. long commutes, or shall I say maulan na "Angkas" Alec still made it to the finish line.
Proof that sometimes, patience really does pay off.

Here’s a quick interview with Alec on how his journey started, all the way to that final branch. From the first stamp to the lastone, even through rainy season.
