It's a chilly start out there, but the sunshine is making for a beautiful winter's day. If you're out and about, why not warm up with a delicious Korean lunch?

If you're heading into town today for the opening of the Burns Memorial Art Exhibition at the Forrester Gallery (from 1.30pm), why not make an afternoon of it?

Today, we'd like to share something a little different.

We're incredibly proud that our son's artwork has been selected as the header image for this year's George Burns Memorial Art Exhibition at the Forrester, which opens tomorrow. Seeing his creativity recognised in this way has been a wonderful surprise for our family.

A big thank you to the Forrester Gallery and the Waitaki District Council for supporting young artists and providing opportunities like this. We'd also like to give a special thank you to Lisa Fenwick for taking the time to interview our son and making the experience so memorable.

We've been lucky to receive some wonderful 5⭐ Google reviews since opening our doors in April, and we just wanted to say thank you.

Every review, kind word, recommendation, and visit means a lot to our small family business. Opening a new takeaway has been an exciting journey, and the support we've received from the Oamaru community has been more than we could have hoped for.
