We believe in fresh, local produce delivered with great service but no fuss. We think we’re unpretentious but we really care about our food and large wine list. Mister D was created by two Hawke’s Bay couples with long backgrounds in hospitality and we’ve created the kind of place we’ve always wanted to eat in.

Our Bastille Dinner with Maison Vauron is almost here, bringing together a menu of French classics, incredible wines, and an evening not to be missed.

When our Pastry chef was 11, she was obsessed with making the most perfect Lemon Meringue Pie. In fact, she made so many pies, her Mum banned them, a ban that still holds to this day.
