Eight years ago today, we opened these doors. Today, we close them for the last time.
It’s hard to sum up what this place has meant to us. It has held early mornings, long days, friendships, hard seasons, ridiculous ideas, plenty of mistakes, and more coffees than we could ever count.
Most of all, it has held people.
You invited us into your mornings, your catch-ups, your celebrations, your bad days and your ordinary ones. Somewhere along the way, customers became regulars, and regulars became friends.
For that, we’ll always be grateful.
Today marks the end of Empire’s coffee bar in Pirimai, but not the end of Empire Coffee Roasters.
The roasting continues. The beans keep moving. The next chapter is already taking shape.
For now though, we just want to say thank you.
To Pirimai, for welcoming us.
To everyone who walked through these doors.
To everyone who worked beside us.
And to everyone who made this little coffee bar part of their life.
It has been our privilege to be part of this community .
Eight years. One hell of a chapter.
