I’ve been getting a few inquiries about Oktoberfest this year, so I’m now happy to confirm that YES, We are doing it again!!
Tickets are $50, and include a Stein with our logo on it to keep, and your first fill!
This year we are planning on putting the marquees up on the front lawn and lining them with trestle tables and chairs, and having live Oompah Music throughout the day!
Spot prizes for people that get dressed up for the day, and our Oktoberfest Inspired Menu will be on again!
Saturday 26th September from 3pm is where it is all going down for 2026!!
Tickets are live now on our website, and are limited to what we can fit in the marquee’s so Don’t Miss Out!!

Another Sunday Session coming up this weekend!
Night Cru are joining us again for an Acoustic Sunday Afternoon!
And what’s better than to pair that with a nice hot pie and chips, and a pint of your favorite to wash it down??
This weekend, with the help of the awesome team at The Pieoneer we’re putting together a Sunday Roast Pie!
Slow Roasted Pork Belly, Roast Veggies, Peas and Corn, all brought together in an Onion Gravy.
Served with some Chunky Chips, a drizzle of Apple Reduction, and a Spear of Crackling!
And a pint of Anything from our Tap List to wash it down with!
Great Tunes, Great Food, Great Atmosphere. Put it all together for a Great Sunday Afternoon!

The next most requested thing of late, another Food Challenge!!
I know I promised this a long time ago, but there’s been a lot going on that’s made the logistics difficult.
And to be perfectly honest, it’s still going to be difficult to pull it together, hence why it is to be booked at least a day in advance.
But this is a BIG BOY BURGER CHALLENGE!
$20 to order, but if completed within 30 minutes, you’ll not only receive a $50 Crafty’s Voucher, but also a Challenge T-Shirt and a Photo with your time on the Wall Of Fame!
Fail however and it’ll cost an extra $50, and you’ll go on the Wall of Shame!!
A lightly toasted Ciabatta Loaf, 4 Smash Patties with Cheese, 500gm of Philly Cheesesteak with Onions, Peppers, and Cheese, 10 Slices of Homemade Bacon, 4 Fried Eggs, BBQ and Aioli, 10 Onion Rings, a bowl of Chunky Chips, and a Side of Gravy!
Seeing Is Believing! Challenge your mates to see who can put it away the fastest!
We will run this for a month or so initially, and see whether there is enough demand to carry it on or not.

Looking for inspiration. What do you get someone for their 4th Birthday??
Turns out that this week marks a special 4 years olds birthday that we feel needs celebrating!
It’s OURS!!
It’s now been 4 years since we opened our doors for the very first time for some invitation only nights, before we opened to the general public the following week!
So to kick off the celebrations, first item on the agenda is The Spice Bag!
Since bringing it out as a special a few weekends ago I’ve been getting constant requests for it to hit the menu. So gift #1 is just that! The spice bag is now on the menu!
I won’t be reprinting the menus for a couple of months yet, so in the meantime you’ll see it on the tabletops being advertised in the serviette holders!
And keep an eye out on our socials for more things to be announced over the next couple of days!

If you can’t get down to see Keiko at the Southern Farmers Market between 9:30am and 1:30pm, then come on down and see The Yardmen from 2pm to 4:30pm and get your Donburi Fix Here instead!!

This Sunday sees the return of The Yardmen!
They’ll be bringing all their amazing covers to keep us all entertained for the afternoon from 2pm!
Not only that, but Keiko will be jumping out of the trailer after the Farmers Market, and heading straight to the kitchen to offer some of her New Donburi Menu!
So if you’re unable to get down to the railway station between 9:30-1:30 then pop on down here after 2pm and you’ll get a chance to test out the food from Invercargill’s Newest Food Truck!

And Here It Is!
This is Keiko’s starting menu from the new trailer today!
This menu will grow and evolve over time, but we wanted to start simple while we work out any teething problems with the new equipment.
Each Donburi is cooked to order, so please allow some time to have your food ready for consumption!
Pop down to the Southern Farmers Market at the Invercargill Railway Station between 9:30am and 1:30pm to see Keiko in the environment where she thrives!

I’m guessing quite a few of our followers here joined us on this Crafty’s adventure since our days operating The Saucy Chook. A food truck that started at The Southern Farmers Market and took us all over the South Island.
But how many knew we started at the market back in 2007? Our first stall consisted of me baking a variety of fresh breads, and Keiko making Sushi and Japanese Curry!
Our stall evolved multiple times over the years, and included Gluten Free Baking, quiches and cakes, sweet and savory pancakes, and even Gyoza Dumplings at one stage!
Street Food and Markets are in our blood I guess!
Which is where this new trailer comes in!
As of This Sunday, Keiko is making her return to Southern Farmers Market
Selling a range of Japanese Donburi (meat and rice dishes) out of our new trailer!
Pop down to the Invercargill Railway Station between 9:30am and 1:30pm on Sunday and check out what she has to offer!
And who knows, if some of the dishes are popular enough, they may end up on our menu at Crafty’s too!!
All of her Donburi will be available Gluten Free as well, so there’s something for everyone!
