First blossoms from our garden, and a special visitor.

Our cherry blossoms will be at their best in a week or two, if you’d like to sit under them and enjoy the garden.

But why not make a day of it in Geraldine?

Start with one of the sculpture trail walks and say hello to Korikori the ballerina, the newest sculpture on the trail, just behind Verde.

Then come in for lunch with us.

And finish with a wander around our local artisan producers, including The Geraldine Cheese Company, Bonnie Day Brewery, Hello Gelato, Southbound Specialty Roastery, and many more.

One of our local producers for this year South Canterbury Outstanding Food Festival special - “The Flat white”- is Geraldine’s much loved Hello Gelato

Nicolette supplies us with a classic Fior di Latte gelato. The name means “flower of milk”, just pure flavour of milk, cream and some sugar.

The housemade Fior di Latte is hidden between layers of Southbound Specialty Coffee coffee jelly, condensed milk mouse, and cocoa sponge.

Taste it for yourself.

S.C.O.F.F runs from 11/09 to 27/09.

We’re so humbled and grateful for the response from friends, family and the community after earning a spot in the Cuisine Good Food Guide 2026.

So we just want to say it again. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. We love what we do, and we love having you on the Verde journey with us.

The second week of spring has finished and we can’t wait for more sunny days to come.

It’s a play on the iconic Kiwi drink, the flat white. This dessert features locally roasted Southbound Coffee in a coffee jelly, with milk gelato made in collaboration with our neighbours at Hello Gelato, cocoa sponge, and condensed milk mousse. Eat it all together and enjoy the different textures and tastes in this playful dessert.

Let’s do another dinner together on Saturday 03 October!

This time is a collaboration with Red and Charlotte from Bonnie Day - just across the road from us.

Four courses, four beers, communal style.

Charlotte grew up in Geraldine and spent ten years brewing in Australia before coming home.

Red co-founded Pirate Life in Adelaide and brewed at BrewDog in Scotland before that.

And now they’re bringing their brews to share with us at Verde.

They’ll be at every table through the night telling you what’s in your glass.

Doors at 6pm, dinner at 6.30pm. We sit together and most of the food comes out to share.

$90 per person for all four courses and four beers. Seats are limited.
