South Canterbury Outstanding Food Festival is in full swing this week, and we’ve had good feedback on our special at the Village Inn.

Our juicy braised lamb rump from Geraldine Butchery comes with fried layered potatoes, bacon, glazed carrots, pea crumble and confit cherry tomatoes, all finished with a red w**e sauce.

Come in for lunch or dinner, and stay for our Wednesday Pub Quiz night.

• South Canterbury Outstanding Food Festival starts this Friday, and we’re looking forward to serving you a beautiful Braised Lamb Rump from Geraldine Butchery, accompanied with glazed carrots, topped with peas crumble, fried layered potatoes bacon, confit cherry tomatoes, and finished with red w**e sauce.
