This week we'll be open on Monday and Tuesday and then open for the weekend straight through the midterm break and finishing up on November 1st. I just know these last two weeks will fly by.

This week's opening hours have landed! We will be open during the week on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 10:30 till 4:30pm and of course Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 5pm. See you all out there!

We are back open this weekend! After a quick hiatus due to scheduling conflicts, we're back in action through November 1st, weather allowing. We are looking forward to seeing you all at the cottage for your favourite treats!

If you are hearty enough to walk the Dinis Loop with this weather, be sure to bring your flask of tea with you. Dinis Cottage will be closed Tuesday the 29th due to weather. See you all the next day!

Who else loves carrot cake? I'm a big fan, aways have been, with proper cream cheese icing of course. These carrot cake cupcakes are amazing. I made them for my baby's first birthday this past Wednesday and they were so yummy I made another batch to share with all you lovely people!

The window at Dinis Cottage is a piece of living history, acting as a guest book from years gone by. Dinis was built in the late 18th century as a hunting lodge for the family in Muckross House. By 1821, however, it was already acting as a tearoom and visitors were commemorating their visit by writing their names in the window.

The earliest date we've found is from the mid 1800s, though I understand there are earlier dates hidden amongst the signatures.

I've been meaning to make these for a while now, and today it finally happened! Chocolate Guinness cupcakes for all you decadent stout lovers out there and finished with a smooth rich butter cream icing. As Autumn sets in, it is definitely the time of year for ultimate comfort food and these bad boys certainly tick the box.

Chocolate and Guinness, it's a match made in heaven.

A taste from my home town. Harry's Roadhouse is an institution. I've been going there since I was a kid and whenever we visit Santa Fe, me and my boys are sure to pop in. It's a beautiful Cookbook with a few of their staple recipes. They are famous locally for their tarts, or as well call them back home "pies", so I figured why not bring one over here to Dinis!

From the reaction today to this blueberry beauty I'd say it was a hit here in Ireland as well!

Anyone feeling chocolatey today? This beautiful rich smooth creamy belgian chocolate tart will definitely tick the box. Plus it brushed with edible gold dust so what's not to like?

Chocolate is one of my weaknesses, so needless to say I'm a fan.
