We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant / Cook to join our friendly team at The Bull Inn, a busy country pub serving freshly prepared food in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
The role includes:
-Preparing and cooking fresh food.
-Supporting chefs during lunch and dinner service.
-Preparing ingredients and basic dishes.
-Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
-Washing up and keeping kitchen areas clean and organised.
-Receiving and storing deliveries correctly.
We’re looking for someone who is:
-Hardworking and reliable.
-Happy working in a busy kitchen.
-A positive team player.
-Organised and detail-oriented.
-Flexible for evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

🎵 New Year’s Eve Live Music at The Bull Inn, Ticehurst – Recommendations Welcome! 🎵

Hi everyone,

The Bull Inn in Ticehurst is planning to have some live music on New Year’s Eve (Thursday 31 December) in the evening, and we’d love some local input.

Rather than booking nationally, we’d prefer to support local talent, but we don’t know all the great musicians and bands in and around the village.

If you know of any local bands, solo acts, or musicians who might be a good fit, please could you:

Drop their name in the comments, or tag them here, or send us a message with their details (and ideally a link to a video or audio if you have one)

We’re especially keen to hear about acts that:

Are based locally or regularly play in East Sussex

Can do a relaxed, crowd-pleasing set in a pub setting

At The Bull Inn, Ticehurst, we were proud to host a defibrillator training evening for our community.

It was fantastic to see so many local residents come together to learn these vital, potentially life-saving skills. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to those who helped make the evening such a success. 👏

We’re also pleased to remind everyone that we have a registered defibrillator located in the back car park at the pub, available to help support the community in an emergency. 📍

Today's visitors decided that arriving by helicopter was the quickest way to get to the pub! 🍻

Don't worry, though – our car park is still perfectly acceptable for everyone 😄
