With the heatwave rolling through the Dales, everyone’s been heading out early for the Cove or a wander through the village - and this is the moment they look forward to afterwards. Fresh plates, a cold drink, and a table waiting just outside The Lister Arms.

A Yorkshire icon at the heart of Malham.

The Lister Arms has welcomed walkers, cyclists and explorers for generations - a stone‑built landmark with fires in the snug, a bar full of character and a courtyard made for summer afternoons. After a day at Malham Cove, Janet’s Foss or Gordale Scar, this is where the village naturally gathers.

Good food, cold drinks and a building that feels like part of the landscape itself.

...and they’re off! 🚴‍♂️

The charity cycle team set off bright and early this morning and have already reached their first stop at Judges Lodging, one of our fellow Thwaites sites.
They’re now making their way to us here at The Lister Arms, where they’ll be staying overnight before continuing their journey tomorrow in support of Yorkshire Air Ambulance. We'll be waiting to welcome them with big cheers and pints poured! 🍻

Join us in wishing them a strong, safe ride - they’re doing incredible work for a brilliant cause.

Fresh air, a crackling fire and a midweek pause in the snug

If you’re walking through Malham today, this is the spot to settle in - boardgames on the table, a pint poured, and the kind of quiet corner that makes the Dales feel even slower.

Our Father’s Day Feast is in full swing! 🍻🥩🍴

Treat him to our locally sourced, proper Yorkshire steaks that have been flying out all weekend. Packed with deep, rich flavour our Father’s Day specials board is a really delicious showcase of the best of Yorkshire - locally sourced, dry‑aged, and full of flavour.

The fire’s glowing, the beer is cold and we’re also serving Sunday roasts and the full daily menu.
