Talk about an extreme day trip! Jo’s grandson took some well-earned time out, but definitely didn’t do things by halves.
The whistle-stop tour kicked off in the Cotswolds with a visit to Jeremy Clarkson’s The Farmer’s Dog pub and the famous farm shop for some essentials (and ice cream, naturally). From there, it was straight across the border into Wales for a stormy coastal pilgrimage to pay respects at Dobby’s Grave.
Hundreds of miles, two iconic stops, and right back home to The Royal Shepherd just in time to get clocked in and ready for work. That’s what you call dedication! 🚗💨

Talk about nostalgia! Found these old menus from The Royal Shepherd in Skipton, and my jaw dropped looking at the prices. 🤯
Imagine getting a full Roast Beef dinner for £4.50! Or a soup and a crusty roll for just £2.00! What year do we think this is? I’m guessing late 80s or very early 90s? Anyone remember eating here back then? Let us know your guesses below! 👇
Besides the crazy prices, there’s some fascinating history on the back about the pub’s name and King George III bringing Merino sheep to England. 🇬🇧🐏 A true piece of local Yorkshire history.
