If you are walking your dog on the estate, it must be kept on a lead at all times.

Today, we lost a ewe to a dog attack. Her lamb is now being hand-reared, something we always try to avoid.

This is the third animal killed by a dog this year.

Please remember: even the most well-behaved dogs can chase or attack livestock.
You are responsible for your pet and the damage it causes.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Put your dog on a lead when walking on our land.

Thank you for your cooperation.

At Wye Organic, we believe in being open about the true cost of food. The 'organic premium' isn't plucked out of thin air; itโ€™s an investment in a different way of farming.

From the extra staff needed to manage crops without chemicals, to the patience required to let our livestock mature at a natural pace without "filling them up" on chemically enhanced feed. Quality takes time and care.

In our latest blog, we explore:

๐‡๐ข๐๐๐ž๐ง ๐‚๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ: How conventional prices often ignore the cost of environmental cleanup.

Flowers at Wye Organic

Great start to the week - picks are getting bigger, vans are get fuller, we've switched to 'Summer Hours' meaning early morning starts to beat the sun, and welcoming in 2 additional seasonal helpers. And many of the long awaited flowers are unfurling! This is us now till September.

We are currently picking Sweet Peas, Geums, Foxgloves, Alliums and Orlaya and many more.

Sowing has calmed down, and our work now involves hoeing (we are well on top of the field ๐Ÿ˜€), pinching, staking and abit more planting.

The last frost is expected this week, so abit of a sigh of relief, however the deer and ranbits are out in full force - so no taking the eye off the ball....

A big thank you to an excellent hardworking team
