Many of you already know, but for those who don't, David and I will be leaving the Rutland Arms.
After more than 10 incredible years, this place has been so much more than a pub to us. We've shared countless memories, laughs, celebrations, and even a few tears. Most importantly, we've met some truly amazing people who started as customers and became friends, and who we now proudly call family.
We honestly can't thank you all enough for the support, kindness, and loyalty you've shown us over the years. You have made this journey so special, and we will miss you all more than words can say. While it's heartbreaking to say goodbye, we're taking so many wonderful memories with us, and we know this isn't the end. We'll still be around, we'll stay in touch, and we certainly won't be strangers.
Our last day of trading will be 21st June, and we'd love to see as many of you as possible before we hand over the keys to the next landlord or landlady.
And of course, our final £2-a-pint Friday will be on 5th June, so come down and join us for one last night of crazy cheap beer and great company!
It's been a very emotional time, and I apologise in advance (and probably retrospectively!) for all the tears and crying—there may be a few more before we're done!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything. We love and appreciate every single one of you. ❤️
