Plastermagazine Artist Bob and Roberta Smith, aka Patrick Brill, has been coming to E. Pellicci’s since his Goldsmiths days in the early ‘90s, when Bethnal Green Road was home to a growing community of young artists.
For the café’s 125th anniversary, he even designed a special run of Bob and Roberta Smith merch (and was paid in gluten-free bread pudding). So, what keeps him coming back? Dora Densham Bond headed to Bethnal Green to find out for herself (and, inevitably, succumb to a cannelloni-induced coma).
