Dear Customers,
We were recently approached by representatives from Hounslow Council regarding the proposed Cycleway 9 West extension, which aims to alter the route along the A315. While we wholeheartedly support initiatives that promote a healthy lifestyle and safe exercise, we are deeply concerned about the severe impact these specific plans will have on our Isleworth community. We have been informed that the proposals include significantly reducing the pavement width on London Road, removing vital parking spaces, and relocating or permanently removing local bus stops, including the one directly outside our doors.
For our Isleworth coffee shop, these alterations present significant challenges. The reduction in pavement space means we will sadly lose our outside seating area, a space we know so many of you enjoy for relaxing with a coffee and catching up with friends. Furthermore, the removal of nearby parking spaces and the local bus stop will make visiting the area much more difficult. We know that many of you rely on being able to park close by to quickly collect your takeaways, and finding a space around here is already a daily struggle. Losing further parking will make it nearly impossible for our patrons to visit conveniently, while also severely disrupting our daily deliveries and the essential running of the business.
Local independent venues are already navigating difficult times, and these changes will undoubtedly add immense pressure to struggling high streets. We will be formally objecting to these proposals to help protect the accessibility of our shop and the convenience of our wonderful customers. The public consultation is open until 19/10/2026, and we would be incredibly grateful to have your voices heard alongside ours.
