DID YOU KNOW… Joe Allen restaurant, New York, was named after its name sake Joe Allen. Joe was inspired by the famous P.J Clarke’s bar in Manhattan. Joe spent hours as a bar fly fascinated by the customers who frequented Clarke’s. Sinatra and the rat pack were amongst those customers. Later when Joe Allen opened on 326W, 46st in 1965 it was an ode to the hedonistic days of PJ Clarke’s and its legendary customers.
