Introducing The Welcome Lunch

To mark the arrival of our new Head Chef Catarina Almeida, we’re inviting you to experience her first menu at Isabel — three courses for £19.95, with complimentary tea and coffee.

Queenie scallops with spicy mayonnaise. Troffie alla nerano with courgette and parmesan. Chocolate mousse with vanilla chantilly.

Available every day, 12pm – 4.45pm, through till August.

A new chapter begins at Isabel ✨

We’re delighted to welcome Catarina Almeida as our new Head Chef — shaped by the family farms of rural Portugal and the ingredient-led kitchens of Petersham Nurseries, her cooking is Mediterranean in spirit and seasonal at its heart.

Her first menu is live from today. Market whole fish with lemon and Sauce Vierge. Burrata with roasted figs and aged balsamic. Breaded lamb cutlets with anchovy mayonnaise and Marcona almonds.

To mark the occasion, we’re also launching The Welcome Lunch — three courses at £19.95, seven days a week until the end of August.

This month we say thank you to our Head Maître D’, Alain Bertel, as he prepares to retire. Many of our guests will know Alain — whether through lunch reservations, warm welcomes, thoughtful conversation or simply his remarkable ability to make people feel comfortable, seen and cared for.

Hospitality has always been about people, and Alain embodies that better than most. Over the years, he has helped shape not only the atmosphere and experience at Isabel, but countless moments and memories shared around our tables.

We wanted to take a moment to celebrate Alain, his extraordinary career (the stories he has!), and the wisdom gathered from decades spent looking after others.

Thank you, Alain. For the care, the generosity, the standards, and the many welcomes.

We wish you every happiness in retirement, and look forward to spending time with you on the other side of the bar. Always part of the Isabel family.
