Autumn in London, made for two.

Start with a late morning tucked under the covers, wander through Green Park as the leaves begin to turn, stop somewhere in Mayfair simply because it catches your eye, then return for dinner, drinks and a night that doesn’t need much of a plan.

Some weekends are better when there’s nowhere else you’d rather be.

British Food Fortnight starts in the kitchen, but it reaches far beyond it.

At 116, we’re celebrating the British ingredients on our menu and the people whose work makes every dish possible.

This year, we’re also supporting RABI, helping farming people and their families through the challenges and pressures of working in the industry. Throughout British Food Fortnight, guests dining with us can choose to add an optional £1 donation to their bill, with every contribution going directly to RABI.

So we asked Poppy, one of our mixologists at The Athenaeum, behind the bar as she made ours.

It starts with a chilled glass, our own Athenaeum Gin inspired by the Living Wall, and fresh orange and lemon from Watts Farms. And if you ask Poppy what to have with it, she’ll point you towards the charcuterie board or baked Camembert at 116.
