Meet Luis Andrés, the farmer behind La Paz. 🇨🇴🕊️

Luis Andrés Rodríguez Pérez grew up on his family’s farm in Caquetá, a region that has faced decades of armed conflict and violence. For many rural communities, this meant uncertainty, displacement, and limited opportunities.

After leaving the region to pursue other ventures, Luis returned to the industry at 20.

Through hard work and his Coffee for Peace initiative, Luis Andrés is showing how specialty coffee can create opportunity, support rural communities, and help a region move forward.

Growing varieties such as Java, Gesha, and San Bernardo, he is proving that coffee can be a catalyst for resilience and transformation.

La Paz means peace, a fitting name for a coffee that represents a different future for Caquetá. ☕️🌱

Finca Anaya is the farm behind three of our favourite coffees:

Siberia, Doña Delfina, and Don Daniel.✨

The latter two are named after Sergio Darío’s parents, who have been part of the farm and its story for generations.
Although they are now retired from farming, they’re still around the farm, helping wherever they can and sharing their knowledge.

Today, Sergio is continuing that legacy.

At Hermanos, we work directly with farmers like Sergio, helping ensure they receive fair value for the coffee they grow.
