Repair Cafe Forest Row The Forest Row Repair Cafe aims to help reduce waste by encouraging a repair culture in our community. A repair can save time, money and waste.

We are open on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the Community Centre, Hartfield Road, Forest Row, RH18 5DZ. Repair Cafe Requirement:
When bringing in any item to be repaired could you please make sure it is clean of any dirt or mud. All fabric items must be washed before you attend otherwise we may refuse to repair them. Thank you for your understanding and consideration of our repairers.

🔧 Another busy morning at the Repair Café! 🧵🚲⚡
It was lovely to see the Repair Café back to our usual level of visitor numbers this month. There was a real buzz in the room, with lots of familiar faces and plenty of new repairs to keep our wonderful team busy!

74 repairs were brought in on Saturday, including:
⚡ 31 electricals�
🧵 14 sewing�
💻 4 IT�
⏰ 5 watches & clocks�
✂️ 3 sharpening�
🚲 5 bikes�
🔧 12 general repairs

And the results?
✅ 54% repaired�
❌ 13% could not be repaired�
💡 17% received advice�
🛠️ 16% were taken home by our repairers for further attention

That's a lot of repairing, fixing, sharing of skills and preventing things from going to waste!

🎉 Our next Repair Café is on Saturday 17th October – and it's a very special one!
We're celebrating our 9th birthday 🥳 and it also coincides with International Repair Day.
So please come along and help us celebrate another year of repairing, reusing, sharing skills and keeping things out of landfill.

TOMORROW! It's September.'s Forest Row Repair Cafe. Come along from 10am-1pm, with last orders taken at 12.30pm.
Our fabulous volunteer team includes repairers for:
Bikes 🚲
Ceramic items⚱️
Clocks ⏰
Clothes👗🪡
Computers💻
Down jacket rips (less than 10cm)
Electrics 📻
Electronics 🎮
Inflatables (including camping mattresses) - please mark the hole with a sharpie.
Small furniture items🪑(chairs, stools, small tables)
Sharpening ✂️ (we often have availability for sharpening, so bring your blunt knives, scissors and gardening tools; there is a limit of six items per person, unless we're not busy)
Tent rips and tears (less than 10cm)⛺
Welly rips and tears
Wetsuits and neoprene rips 🏄
Our wonderful café will be open, selling delicious and reasonably priced cakes and refreshments while you wait. We look forward to seeing you.

Don't forget we can fix rips in wetsuits and down jackets, and repair welly rips and tears (though not soles, sadly - please ensure wellies are clean!).

A busy summer enjoying time in the sun can sometimes leave a few things in need of repair!

🔧 Another busy month at the Repair Café! ☕🛠️
We had 60 repairs brought in on Saturday.

These were:
23 electricals
7 sewing
4 IT
8 watches/clocks
4 sharpening
1 bike and
13 general repairs

62% were repaired
7% could not be repaired
14% received advice and
12% were taken home by repairers so should end up in a repair.

A huge thank you to all our wonderful volunteers for another month of amazing repairs! 👏❤️

📸 Can you help Forest Row Repair Café?

We are looking for someone to take a few photos and capture some of the lovely repair stories at our final three cafés of the year.

You don’t need to be a professional photographer — perhaps you’re a budding photography student looking to add some experience to your CV?

We'll take care of the montages and Facebook posts; we just need someone there to capture the magic! ❤️
