Cockburnspath Community Cafe Cockburnspath Communty Cafe is held in the Village Hall every Tuesday from 11am until 1.30pm and is run by a group of volunteers.

We offer two freshly made soups, filled rolls, baked potatoes, cakes, scones alongside the odd Special.

Tomorrow at the Community Cafe all the tomatoes have been sourced from the Cockburnspath Community Garden and for that we thank them very much. Soups are Cream of Celery and Roasted Red Pepper, Tomato, Red Onion and Roasted Garlic. We also have Baked Potatoes. Special Sandwich is Garlic Foaccia stuffed with Wild Rocket, Homegrown tomatoes, homemade green pesto and roast chicken. Other fillings are available.hope to see you there. ❤️

This week we are having a new cake for the cake. It’s called ‘ Invisible Apple Cake ‘ and looks and tastes delicious. I always have a go at new bakes just in case they don’t work. Layers of lovely apples coated in a this batter and cooked in the oven for around an hour. Glazed with warm marmalade or apricot Jam. Yummy. Meringues will also be on offer with berries and cream. Hope to see you on Tuesday 1st September from 11-2pm. ❤️

The Community Cafe is open in Cockburnspath Village Hall on Tuesday 1st September from 11-2pm. This week the Soup is Cream of Celery, and the special sandwich filling is Roasted Chicken, served with Pesto, homegrown tomatoes and Rocket.
We will have our usual fillings for rolls, homemade cakes and scones. Come along and enjoy this amazing community venture. We hope to see you there.

Saturday 5th September - The cafe will also be open on Gala Day from 2-5pm

Today's the day to shine a light on community spirit! 💡 Join us at the Village Hall from 11-2pm where our amazing volunteers have crafted a menu to brighten up a rainy day: French Onion Soup featuring fresh produce from the Community Garden, crispy bacon rolls, filled rolls, cake, and scones. Thank you to everyone who came along to the Community Cafe today we enjoyed seeing you all. The French Onion Soup and Bacon Rolls went down really well, as did the Gluten Free Chocolate cake made by Anne Huckerby, and the Scones which were delicious. We really appreciate everyone of you who comes along and supports this amazing Community facility. See you all next week ❤️

The Community Cafe is back on Tuesday August 25th and the Soup this week is French Onion made with Onions kindly donated by the Cockburnspath Community Garden. We also have the ever popular Bacon Rolls, alternative filled rolls and homemade cakes.
We are open from 11-2pm with last food orders being at 1.30pm.

It’s cafe day tomorrow Tuesday 17th August, from 11 2pm. Lots of freshly made goodies including tomato soup, a special filling of roast chicken, green pesto and rocket, lovely baking from Sheila and our usual filled rolls. Hoping for Jacket Potatoes as well depending on quality. We missed you all last week so looking forward to seeing everyone again ❤️

I just wanted to hop on to out page and say a huge THANKS to all our lovely customers who came along to the cafe today. The cafe is going from strength to strength and we are welcoming new customers nearly every week. We love seeing you all and hope that you continue to use this great facility. See you next week on Tuesday 25th August from 11. Next week we will be introducing a new soup courtesy of produce grown at Cockburnspath Community Allotments. Watch this space for more news to follow ❤️
