We invited venerable monks to perform a traditional blessing ceremony : a Sri Lankan Buddhist ritual to bless the space, the food, and everyone who’ll walk through these doors.

KOLAM UNMASKS : Yash S. (Yash Sheth)

Monsoon in Mumbai is bittersweet. Relief from the heat, but floods that bring the city to a halt. And somehow, in the chaos, everyone comes outside anyway.

Yash has spent five years documenting it: kids splashing in puddles, strangers sharing makeshift shelter, a city’s soul on full display.
Beneath the joy, the monsoon also exposes what’s fragile: flooded tracks, informal settlements struggling to stay dry, a nation’s dependence on rain that’s becoming harder to predict.

Both life and chaos, at once. That’s the eye we wanted to unmask first.

For Fête de la Musique, Kolam opened the doors of its new home early, for one night only, to celebrate music, creativity and community with you all.

Big love to our sisters and brothers from JAWANI 4EVA , who took over the dancefloor once again: yung singh yung singh and Bal-T.

The Paris crew kept the energy going with rythme brisé and Noumia Nawell Boutleux b2b Clarisse Prévost on the decks, plus live performances from Chris Sam and Yambow.

And most of all, thank you all for showing up and sharing this moment with us!

Thank you to Salomon Sportstyle and Courir for supporting us and helping make this night possible.

Kolam presents FDLM 2K26.

After a few quiet months, we’re opening the doors of our future home at 6 rue Lucien Sampaix, 75010 Paris for a one-night-only Fête de la Musique takeover, before the restaurant officially opens to the public.

We’re bringing back our dear friends from London, Jawani4Eva — if you were there last year, you know exactly what’s coming — alongside some of Paris’ hungriest DJ collectives to make you dance through the heat.

An intimate private dinner, crafted with care and shared with old and new friends from Sri Lanka and abroad.
Held in ’s beach gem, the dinner was prepared by Kolam’s team, mixing Sri Lankan flavours and heritage with Parisian sophistication.

All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the victims affected by the recent floods in Sri Lanka.
