On the set of An Ode To Rebirth, we invited our friend India Bharadwaj, a London based photographer to capture the performance through her own lens.

Kolam isn’t just our name. It comes from the traditional masked dance-drama of southern Sri Lanka, a centuries-old art form bringing together performance, craftsmanship and music.

It’s a tradition we’re deeply inspired by, and one we’re proud to celebrate and share in our own way.

Kolam is back.

As you now know, we went from a seven-seat counter to a new and much bigger home in the 10th. And to launch this next chapter, we didn’t want to talk about the restaurant nor the food.

Because Kolam has always been about more than what’s on the plate. We’ve always imagined it as a show for all the senses, a way to share the richness and creativity of Sri Lankan culture.

So this time, we wanted to go back to where the name, and so much of our inspiration, comes from.

An Ode To Rebirth is a living reinterpretation of the ritual masked dance-theatre of southern Sri Lanka, called Kolam, brought to life with traditional performers, some of whom you may have already met during the shows we’ve hosted, from special events to Fête de la Musique.

This film is about transformation, tradition and rebirth, and all the team is very proud to present it to you now.

After a little summer soft opening, Kolam is officially open, and ready for you to discover what this new place has to offer.

Carved wood, tartan, and Kolam’s big wooden face watching over every table. It took time to design, build and decorate this place piece by piece, and we’re so proud to finally share it with you!

In the kitchen, we are making the food we grew up eating, the way we know and love it.

Nothing too complicated. No noise. Just good food, a place that feels like us, and people we love around the table.

For real… did you really think we were going to miss the party?

Kolam presents FDLM 2K26.

After a few quiet months, we’re opening the doors of our future home at 6 rue Lucien Sampaix, 75010 Paris for a one-night-only Fête de la Musique takeover, before the restaurant officially opens to the public.

We’re bringing back our dear friends from London, Jawani4Eva — if you were there last year, you know exactly what’s coming — alongside some of Paris’ hungriest DJ collectives to make you dance through the heat.
