Update for you all regarding Steve Lewis .
Had a restful night after suffering a TIA
( mini stroke) now out of critical care and on a ward for observation.
What can I say... thank you just doesn't seem enough.
People often say that Los Motos Locos (LML), FABs and Dixies are just scooter clubs and a pub. They're wrong. You're family.
When I needed you most, every one of you stepped up. You helped Gill get me to hospital, kept everything under control, and reminded me just how lucky I am to have such amazing people around me.
A special thank you to Andy and Nicki—and especially Nicki, who somehow managed to pass her Guardia Civil Formula 2 "blues and twos" driving test with flying colours! I'm sure it was a slightly more nerve-wracking ride for her than it was for me!
Thanks also to Big Paul and Matt for looking after The Green Un. Knowing my scooter was in safe hands meant a lot.
I didn't want everyone missing the match at Dixies because of me, so a massive thank you to Craig for stepping behind the bar, keeping the beer flowing and proudly flying the Dixies flag... although it's a shame England couldn't do the same!
To everyone who sent messages, called, checked in, or simply wished me well—thank you. Your support has meant the world to both me and Gill.
And finally, the biggest thank you of all goes to my amazing wife Gill. She's been by my side not only in my hour of need, but for the last 35 years. Through thick and thin, she's always been there, and I couldn't have asked for a better partner.
So, for now, the scooter's parked, the throttle's closed, and the doctor's in charge. But don't get too comfortable...
I'll be back—because you can't keep an old scooter rider down for long!
Until I'm fit to ride again... take care of yourselves, look after each other, and remember... friends come and go, but family is forever.
Much love,
Steve 💙🛵
