I 1990 kom Maurizio Quattromani til Aalborg, hvor han åbnede den italienske Restaurant Azzurra i Jens Bangs Gade. Maurizio havde inden da været igennem kokke- og tjeneruddannelsen fra hotelskolen i Napoli og haft to år ved den italienske marine. Derforuden havde han arbejdet i en kort periode i London, hvor han mødte en dansk pige, som efterfølgende førte ham til Aalborg. Her så Maurizio mulighederne i at starte sin egen restaurant med udgangspunkt i det rustikke italienske køkken. Azzurra Ristorante Italiano byder på alle variationer inden for det italienske køkken og tilbyder såvel kød, fisk, fjerkræ samt pasta og pizza tilberedt af friske råvarer. Azzurra Ristorante Italiano er en meget populær restaurant og har med tiden udviklet sig til et gastronomisk madværksted, med mulighed for ”take away”, levering af mad ud af huset til større receptioner, jubilæer, fødselsdage m.v . Der kan man med held afholde skræddersyede møder, vinsmagninger, fester eller firmamiddage. Der er også mulighed for selv, at medbringe egne drikkevarer mod afregning af proppenge. På Azzurra Ristorante Italiano i Vestbyen af Aalborg sætter vi en ære i at hylde det italienske køkken og benytte de gode opskrifter, friske råvarer og gamle traditioner, som har gjort det italienske køkken til et af verdens mest elskede og beundrede. Vores køkkenpersonale er hovedsageligt italiensk og er opvokset med madlavningen, så hos Azzurra Ristorante Italiano sikrer vi dig en ægte, italienske madoplevelse.
