Some desserts are just desserts.
This one had a little more attitude. 😽
Kitty Cheng has been through countless tastings, tiny recipe tweaks, hot summer days, fridge experiments and a few very... wobbly moments.
(Yes, melting was part of the journey.) 🥵
But that’s exactly how new dishes are created at Wen Cheng.
We test.
We fail.
We improve.
We taste again.
Until we’re happy.
And now she’s finally ready.
Meet Kitty Cheng.
Our creamy vegan coconut panna cotta with mango sauce.
Soft.
Fresh.
Jiggly.
And yes... she wiggles.

This heat wave is too hot to handle! 🥵 So many of you are still ordering a spicy bowl in this heat. In case the heat gets to you crazy ones too, we will be handing out fans this weekend! 🪭 So grab one when you come by and stay hydrated! ❤️
Also… who else has a friend like that!? ⬆️ Always shy at first and then suddenly looking good in every single picture!? HOW 😂

Five years of hand-pulled noodles.
Five years of community.
Five years of slurp.
Sunday we celebrated Wen Cheng's 5th birthday and for that we created this limited Poster as a tribute to the craft and culture that brought us here.
Thank you for being part of the journey. ❤️

NOT JUST A CHINESE EATERY 🍜
It also tells a story of immigration and opportunity... Wen Cheng is a small village in China, where Rui's and Peng‘s parents experienced poverty and hardship while growing up making a living. Their mum Zhao Huai used to tell them „My birthday gift was a single egg, which was my favourite day of the year“.
They named this restaurant Wen Cheng to show their gratitude and respect towards their parents. They grew up in Germany, but we will never forget where we came from and where their family is rooted. 🌱

Our dishes may look simple, but it’s a complex and enduring process to pull the noodles, and cook our sauces every single day. It’s a delicate recipe to get a consistent quality and taste, even when the weather and humidity that influences the texture, is constantly changing.

Our dream started 5 years ago in Berlin and we are honoured and grateful to show you what Wen Cheng means to us. ❤️

This Sunday, June 21st, we are celebrating our BIG FAT 5! 🎊 5 years of Wen Cheng, pulling & slurping noodles, growing as a team and more and more noodles taking over! Thank you to everyone who has been there from the start and supported us when we opened our first location in 2021. We can’t believe you’ve been slurping our noodles for that long already! 🤝 Kids dreams do come true…
We’ve prepared a birthday present for everyone coming to the store this Sunday! 🎁😍 See you there!
