Gover House
Stay in a piece of Trinity history.

Set at the water’s edge on Fisher Cove, Gover House is an 1840s restored saltbox and Registered Heritage Structure, and one of the oldest homes in Newfoundland available as a private vacation rental.

Gover House was our family’s original Trinity cottage and first major restoration project, receiving the first Southcott Award awarded for a restoration in Trinity.

More recently, the little house by the water has gained international attention. Trips to Discover named Gover House among 12 properties in the world with a view worth travelling for, while AFAR included a stay at Gover House in its Most Memorable Stays of 2025.

Today, guests can experience staying in a genuine historic Trinity home by the water’s edge, with a queen bedroom downstairs, double bedroom and two bathrooms upstairs, a full kitchen and living space, and a private waterside deck overlooking Fisher Cove.

Perhaps the best feature is one that hasn’t changed in nearly two centuries: the setting. Come for the history, stay for the sunsets.

Campbell House
Built in the 1840s, Campbell House is an award winning Registered Heritage Structure and the original home of the Artisan Inn, where we first began welcoming guests more than three decades ago.

Today, it serves as a private two-bedroom, two-bathroom property filled with historic character. Low ceilings, slanted floors and traditional proportions are a part of its 185-year history.

Perched on a hill, Campbell House looks across historic Trinity and Trinity Harbour in one direction and Fisher Cove in the other. In the evening, head to your private west-facing patio, settle into an Adirondack chair around the fire table and watch the sun set over the cove.

Twine Loft Dining, local shops, whale watching, historic sites, theatre and hiking trails are all within walking distance.

It is our favourite shopping weekend if the year in Trinity. Lots of great fall deals in Trinity stores
