Dry ice in every box 📦🧊🐟🦞🦀

A quick reminder: dry ice is extremely cold (-78.5°C / -109.3°F), so always handle it with insulated gloves, and NEVER touch it with your bare hands!

Unlike regular ice, dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide. Instead of melting into water, it turns directly from a solid into a gas. That’s what creates that cool fog effect and makes it perfect for whatever this is👆But more importantly, it’s perfect for keeping seafood frozen during transit 😎

More than 20 years ago, my dad Larry was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

A fifth-generation fisherman from Nova Scotia, fishing wasn’t just his job. It was his identity, his community, and the life he loved. Over time, MS forced him into early retirement and changed the course of our family’s story forever.

Years later, we built Larry’s Catch in his honour.

This weekend, we’re launching Catch for a Cause 💙

Many of you know that Larry’s Catch is named after my dad, Larry, a fifth-generation fisherman from Nova Scotia.

What many people don’t know is that in the early 2000s, Larry was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Over time, the disease forced him into early retirement from the career and lifestyle he loved so deeply.

Watching someone you look up to navigate MS changes your perspective forever. It had a profound impact on my family and became a big part of the reason Larry’s Catch exists today.

This weekend, we’re launching Catch for a Cause in support of

From Saturday, May 30 through Sunday, May 31, we’ll be donating:
👉 10% of all sales
👉 100% of all tips

directly to MS Canada to help fund support programs, advocacy, and critical research.

“Janet’s Catch” ❤️

Behind every fisherman who ventured offshore for days, weeks, or even months at a time… was someone holding everything together back home.

For Larry, that person was Janet.

She was the steady hand, the warm home, the problem solver, the comfort, the organizer, the parent doing double duty. The reason Larry could head out to sea knowing everything would somehow still keep moving on land.

Like so many mothers, Janet carried challenges that often went unseen. Early mornings. Late nights. Worry. Sacrifice. Strength. Love woven quietly into every single day.

“Janet’s Catch” isn’t just a tribute to Janet. It’s a tribute to all the mothers and women who are the rock of their families. The ones who keep the wheels spinning no matter what life throws at them.

If your goal is fat loss, it’s not just about protein—it’s about protein per calorie + how full you stay.

1. Shrimp 🦐
~20g protein for ~100 calories
→ insanely lean, super high protein, easy to stay in a deficit

2. Haddock 🐟
~20g protein for ~90 calories
→ ultra low fat, high volume, keeps meals big without blowing calories

3. Other lean whitefish (like rockfish or pickerel) 🐠
Similar macros to haddock
→ super versatile, clean protein, easy to rotate so you don’t get bored

All three make it easier to eat more, stay full, and lean out faster.

✨ Miso Black Cod (Sablefish) - Restaurant Quality at Home ✨

Silky, buttery, umami-rich miso black cod that melts in your mouth - perfect for date night or weeknight luxury. 💛🐟

Ingredients (for ~6 oz Black Cod):
• ¾ tbsp white miso paste
• ¾ tbsp mirin
• ½ tbsp sake
• ¾ tbsp granulated sugar
• 1 - 6 oz Larry’s Catch Wild Black Cod fillet
• A splash of neutral oil (for searing)
Optional: pickled ginger, scallions, lemon wedges

How to make:
1️⃣ Whisk together miso, mirin, sake & sugar in a small pot over low heat until smooth & sugar dissolves (don’t boil). Cool.
2️⃣ Pat the fish dry, then coat completely in the cooled miso marinade. Cover & refrigerate for 2–3 days.
3️⃣ When ready, scrape off excess marinade, heat a little oil in an oven-safe pan, skin-side up, and sear to caramelize.
4️⃣ Flip, then bake at 400°F until flaky. Broil a minute for extra color.
5️⃣ Serve hot with ginger, scallions & lemon. 🍋

🔥 Pro tip: patience in the marinade = next-level flavour.
