Words like “wild” “fresh” “frozen” “product of” and other terms used on seafood packaging don’t always mean exactly what you’d assume they mean. There’s a lot of information on these labels and some of the wording can be surprisingly misleading or easy to misinterpret

Canada is home to some of the best seafood in the world 🌎

So why is imported seafood stocking our grocery shelves?

It comes down to demand, price, and the way our seafood industry is structured. Canadian seafood is highly sought after around the world, while imported seafood is cheaper to produce and sell here.

But if we want more Canadian seafood available to Canadians, we have to create the demand for it. That means asking where our seafood is coming from, choosing Canadian when we can, and supporting the people who harvest it from our own waters

A catch that gives back 🎣❤️

Larry’s Catch has always been more than just a name. It’s a piece of our story.

My dad, Larry, grew up as a fifth-generation fisherman in Nova Scotia. The ocean, fishing, and that way of life were such a huge part of who he was. Then, in the early 2000s, he was diagnosed with MS.

As the years went on, MS changed what his life looked like and eventually forced him to step away from the career he loved. It changed our family and the way we understand this disease.

This business carries his name, his roots, and a little piece of where our family comes from. So being able to give back to a cause that has personally touched our family means so much to us.

This Friday, September 4th, we’re proud to support MS Canada by donating 10% of ALL sales to help fund support programs, advocacy, and critical research.
