We were finally able to meet the fine people behind OSC Shop and Kilos coffee in their city of Dongguan. They gratuitously allowed us to takeover the brew bar at Kilos cafe for an afternoon this past week where we brewed over 80 pourovers of 6 different coffees 😅.

So much gratitude for the warm welcome, Dongguan, and to the OSC/ Kilos team for the hospitality.

Another last call on coffees from another inspiring producer. We’ve been sourcing coffee from Frank Torres for many years. Already inspired by how his coffees expressed, being able to visit his farm, Finca Indonesia, over the past few years struck us for being stunning and for the innovative, sustainable agriculture employed (turns out those things aren’t mutually exclusive 🌸🌱⛰️).

This year we sourced multiple nano lots of clean experimental processes. Some of the last of these are two Pink Bourbons, one processed as a washed Carbonic Maceration, and the other as a Hydro Honey. Both varietally articulate and expressive✨.

An innovator, community pillar, and incredibly hard worker, it’s hard to not get swept up in his vision for the future.

Only a little bit left from Francy Castillo’s Gesha online and Pink Bourbon at the roastery. We had the pleasure of returning to Francy’s farm, Uberrimo, last season. It’s a stunning showcase of organic, diverse agriculture with a multitude of varieties.

An amazing person doing inspiring work in the field and in her community, Francy’s coffees have had a place on our menu for the last 4 years. We’re always looking forward to sharing her work.

For this season, we also worked with Francy and to separate additional coffees from the local market - a project we’re excited to share more about soon.
